Fans think he's closer to Montana 2.0 than Smith 2.0.

Outside of a loyal few, Smith's name is dirt among 49er fans.

I've been a 9er fan almost 30 years. I missed the tail end of Montana, but I saw all of Young, and all of the dreck that followed.

Jimmy G is legit. The guy is just clutch on 3rd down.

I think Alex (Andy Reid version at least) would be able to win a Super Bowl with the Niners current defense and OL/run game.
