I hear the frustration about the injuries, but he could be a valuable asset during the playoffs. Let him get a few snaps against the Texans to knock the rust off. I don't mind that any other team doesn't have a lot of tape on him either.

Sit him for this one. Even if hes technically healthy. Hamstring injuries linger..

Boxer_Chief 12-18-2022 10:09 AM

I get wanting him to sit until the playoffs but him and Pat need to get chemistry in real action or else the playoff action will be hindered. If they can get on a roll these next few games it helps us in the playoffs.

Keep him mainly on punt returns, and ease him back into the offense gradually.

Is Hardman up today?

No. Projected to return next week.

Knowing Andy and Burkholder, Toney will get limited snaps, my guess is around 20 total, maybe 5-7 targets. Pretty similar to his first game.

Sofa King 12-18-2022 03:50 PM

He played a bunch in the first 10 plays, then barely ever saw him again. Couple punts and nothing else. Did I miss something?

louie aguiar 12-18-2022 03:51 PM

I think he was on a pitch count. They didn’t want to push him.

Agreed, any more than 50 pitches and I'd be concerned.

He was herky jerkin around and trying so hard I was worried he'd reinjure himself, they were wise to limit him hard today

Hammock Parties 12-20-2022 10:02 AM

10 snaps

super cautious

I have no confidence at all in his ability to stay healthy.

Because like you said, that guy has the strangest manner of movement this side of Pacheco. It's just completely nutty. No wonder he keeps pulling shit; every movement he makes looks like someone just got startled by a snake emerging from a hole beneath his feet...

ToxSocks 12-20-2022 11:09 AM

He's still healthy, right?

I’m far from a doctor.. but I’m assuming Burkholder can improve his durability over an off season on a program.. to an extent. But he’s always going to be susceptible to soft tissue injuries with how explosive he is, correct?

That's a hilariously accurate description.
