Just booked passage for myself and my two youngsters on a 1/2 day fishing trip out of San Diego next Wed. It'll be their first time fishing from a boat. They are stoked. Can't wait.

You are not the only one having a shitty year catching fish. I spent a week on vacation five nights with one catfish just because it decided to storm and that was the only time water stirred them up. I'm going back out there tonight for gluten.

I hate people that's why I love fishing.

There was a time when I thought I'd become a pretty damn good fisherman

... but I have been humbled

To be fair I've talked to boaters who have aren't doing well. Lake Wilson had their annual Waleye competition and 3 fish were caught all weekend. So this is not a normal year. We will rebound. Keep your head up.
