The Dominick thing just sounds like an extension of the Boston newspaper report that he hasn't been interviewed yet. Someone reporting the Chiefs haven't talked to him turns into "he was told he won't get the job".

Because he obviously is connected to the Chiefs if he's fed Petro correct information in the past.

In the sports world, you never tell someone they are off the list until you have the guy you want. How many times does this happen during the interview process?

Saying Pioli has the job is obvious wishful thinking, but then if all of the information is correct, the Chiefs know they have the guy they want - Pioli or some other guy.

Has any coordinator under Belichick gone on to be a successful NFL head coach? Off the top of my head I'm thinking Crennel, Mangini, Groh and Saban. Others have done well in college except for Weis.
