The good news, his face broke his fall

Wrong team brah. Kaepernick spotted wearing a Dolphins hat, during a 4th of July vacation.

Ah, thats not so bad, atleast its an AFC team.

The real fail is that he couldnt come up with a hotter vacation mate.

The killcam is always from the point of view of the winner.

As a non-gamer in this genre, I still don't get it. What happened, and what should have happened?

Actually, I just took a second look at the gif and it wasn't what I thought it was. I thought it was a paradoxical kill cam instance, but it's not.

BUT JUST SO YOU KNOW, in the Call of Duty franchise, there's this thing that's called a "Kill Cam." Its sole purpose is to show you your death from the perspective of the guy that killed you. That way you know exactly what happened when you got killed.

The very last kill of the match is shown to everyone.

In the gif above, I thought it was a kill cam shot from the perspective of the victim (which should technically be impossible), but like I said above, I no longer think that was the case. But, hey, at least now you know about kill cams. :)

Good news is, you're in the right thread. ;)
