Mizzou left the Big XII North. Averaging the Sagarin rankings of all north teams not named Mizzou, you end up with 61.2
Mizzou entered the SEC East. Averaging the Sagarin rankings of all the teams in that division not named Mizzou, you end up with 41.2
Seems they improved their division. By a full 20 spots!!!
But wait!!! When they left, Colorado and Nebraska were already gone!!!!
So if I remove their ranking, how would it work out?
Taking the three teams left, not named Mizzou, you end up with an average ranking of 64.6.
Interesting, your beloved Sagarin has proven you wrong. Sadly, this is all a reflection of kU's 123 ranking. Without that anchor, it's actually not a bad division.
