To save me from having to read 1800+ posts... Has somebody stated Pioli was even in the same room during the interviewing process? The HC is to report DIRECTLY to Clark, the hire is none of Pioli's business. Bring in Reid, ask what he desires as responsibilities and what he'd like to work with as a GM, not the other way around.

Bottom line is a name like Reid is far more likely to put asses in the seats. That is Clark's immediate priority.

I dont know guys...the "9 hour interview" smells like an overstatement that can be used in the future as a "well, we tried. Shit, we spent 9 hours with Andy Reid." when Clark ultimately choses a coach from the tree and allows Pioli to stay.

I hope Im just paranoid, but I just really want this team TO FINALLY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF A MASSIVE OPPORTUNITY TO STEP THEIR GAME UP....and not fall back AGAIN with another Herm, Romeo, wasted draft pick and endless hopelessness that would ensue.

I'd be fine with the Reid hire if I knew the following. Who does he want at QB, because he's shown questionable taste and his success is built on QBs with mobility, which isn't the QB model I want to be following. And the defense that was in the top 10 seven of 9 years under Jim Johnson has ranked 19, 21, 10, and 29 since Johnson left. What is his defensive identity? And how much say does he have in personnel, because he's not exactly the best judge of talent.

Those are really important questions. It's a good move if it's Reid + Rivera + Heckert. Run for the hills if it's Reid + Bowles or any other project + Reid calling most of the personnel shots.
