Hey William,

Did you ever get your clubs?

No man. I'm one of those weirdos that sometimes gets buyers remorse. Even over little things like that. They are still available though and I talked to the guy via email. Kinda low balled him and he decided to hold them.

Hey Poulter. Shut up and play.

I'm not a big Poulter fan, but he has a point.

That hole with that pin and that wind is goddamned near impossible. The only shot I could think of trying to hit into that is a shot they normally hit from 50-60 yards that takes one bounce and stops, and even that probably bounces to the back edge.

Yeah, but his score is irrelevant. He's the early frontrunner that fades on Sunday. I'd put his chances at winning between 1 and 2 %.

Agreed.

Yea. Accept your fate and move on. Poulter is a guy I like when he isn't crying like a bitch.

Nice play by D. Johnson.

ROFL...I do the same thing. If I think about buying something that isn't absolutely necessary, I usually put it in a cart at the store for like 10 minutes, then decide I don't need it, and put it back. I get remorse before I make purchases.

And Phil birdies 5 to get to E with the last real birdie hole before 18 next.

And Johnson hits a 280 yards 3 iron to 7 feet at 4. Amazing shot.

+2 probably wins this.

Course is playing friggin' crazy right now...almost like playing at Troon, St. Andrews, etc.

On a lot of approaches, you almost have to land it 30 or 40 yards short...Ishikawa's 8 iron to 5 bounced, rolled, and went to the back of the green.

Nuts.

Honestly, I do the exact same thing. Two years ago I bought a TV in Best Buy. Four times.
Me: Yea I'll take it.

Salesman: Okay great. I'll bring one around and we'll...

Me: Wait. No I'm just not ready to make the purchase.

20 minutes later I pick out another model.

Me: I'll definitely take that one.

Salesman: Great. I'll have one brought out. Let's get the paper work...

Me: Welllllllll... I'm not so sure.

The poor guy wanted to kill me.

I'm glad to know there's a support group here at CP ;)

I agree that his score is irrelevant right now. But having wiggle room is important in a US Open. But usually in an Open, once you start leaking oil, the collapse is inevitable.

Nice job by Johnson on 5.

This happens every year in the US Open, but sometimes, a guy can find enough flukish ways to separate himself from the field (Lucas Glover), that his collapse can be absorbed.

What is it with NBC and golf coverage? Do they use a different camera filter? I canot even see a ball once it hits the ground or reaches the green. I've noticed this with their coverage for years.

Is it the color of the greens that doesn't present well?
