Anyway, we need a guy like that to force the defense to make some decisions about how they're going to defend us. Midway through 2022, JJSS basically became invisible because defenses began paying a lot more man/press vs. KC, and JJSS couldn't beat his DBs. Neither could Skyy or anyone else for that matter. It became something of an issue until Andy started scheming plays for McKinnon more. But that's a band aid, not a long-term solution. |

I think we can safely infer that, considering the first part of the tweet. The tweeter is being obtuse, in order to make his point. |
Quote:
It's not a scheme change. Occasionally there would be something drawn up, but mostly it was just the outlet pass. |
Quote:
Regardless at this point, JJSS stopped being as effective as he was in the first half of the season, and McKinnon became the consistent option instead. And we know this is true, because JJSS' projection at about the 8 week mark was to exceed 1,200 yards and 4-5 TDs, but he went from averaging about 60 yds/gm to about 30. And McKinnon wasn't on pace for 512 yards receiving/10 TDs through about the same number of weeks. His production increased about when JJSS decreased. And we didn't see a big jump in anyone else's numbers. McKinnon effectively was schemed to replace JJSS lack of production. Okay well, the stats and the timeline seem to imply that. Obviously, I don't know exactly what Andy's real thoughts were. |

That said, we're probably going to need some other player to make some kind of jump to make that up. |

Well, except for the fact that Travis is 34 this year. Might want to replace that production in the near future. Before he actually declines. Just a thought. |

If one of those guys was DK Metcalf, Terry MacLaurin, or Tee Higgins, this isn't a conversation. If you want to critique the FO's ability to scout WR talent after round one, then fine. But the efforts have been made, and the results have been two Lombardi trophies. |
Moore didn’t really get big snap counts in the part of the season we’re talking about, save for the Chargers game, where he had multiple big catches on third down, including one where he made Derwin James look foolish.
He definitely had more chops vs man than done so far, but I think he can/will develop better feel for that. I think Rice complements him well in that regard. He shows a good feel for working vs zone in his highlights, and Keysor’s film review showed that, too, if I recall correctly. If your top 3 pass catchers feature one guy who is great against zone and man, one guy who has a good feel in zone, and one guy who can win vs man consistently, I think you’re in pretty fantastic shape. |

3rd team. With the Giants crew?
Good chance it is a "coaching thing" by Daboll whom I'm still 50/50 on him being a ****ing twat. Nonetheless. That's not what I would expect. |
I owe it to the thread after being duped by Hyatt ballwashers to post all Hyatt negative material.
I still picked him up in dynasty because he does have tools long term especially with Kafka and Daboll maximizing Danny Nickles |
Didn't like Hyatt at all and I was completely perplexed at how people projected him given how he was used in college. His 40 time then really confirmed for me why he shouldn't have been our pick

No matter how good of a camp he has, Reid ain’t sting a rookie WR full time. Maybe half the snaps.

So, I didn't look to see if it has been mentioned, but Jordan Addison got a ticket going 140 mph in a 55, because he said his dog had a medical emergency.
At least he wasn't drunk. Maybe the NFL should require rookies to hire professional drivers. |

I think skyy was seen as another undersized receiver that will struggle to contribute, and may not have the size and tools to make it as a number 1 or even 2 receiver. Rice is a more traditional build receiver who could potentially be a true number one, and all the training camp reports seem to be very positive. |

All I know is a ton of people on social media doubt this guy and say he doesn't separate, but then Peyton Manning was on Twitter and said something like he's a quarterback's best friend and he would rather have him than any other receiver in the draft or something along those lines it may not have been quite that extreme but was very complimentary.

There's just not a single thing JJSS did that Rice is incapable of doing. All it will take is the football savvy and scheme retention to get it done. I absolutely believe he will. Rice is going to be legit. Not a homerun hitter but a very strong, steady player. I think he can eventually give us what the diminished version of Watkins was able to give us. Good physical play over the middle and strong YAC production, especially on designed quick-hitters in space. |

Juju had a little more girth and could do some TE type things, but Rice -provided he can do the mental side - is going to be a lot better. |

But he did have that foot issue, so wait and see. He's got Hopkins ish hands and good size. I'm excited to see. Because him and Rice outside coUlf be monstrous if it all goes our way |
