Verderame on his latest pod said he was told my his Chiefs source that they loved what they were seeing from Felix during camp and knew then that he wasn’t going to play a ton due to being behind George/Omenihu/Danna this year
I’m buying all the FAU stock I can get right now. I think he’s a 8-12 sack guy by 2025. |

The problem is that suddenly we need a replacement for Omenihu and I'm not certain FAU will be up for that just yet. |

Seth Keysor liked him because he said FAU had multiple pass rush moves and could string them together more than most DE prospects.
Isn't great at turning the corner on the edge, but can do it better than Karlaftis (who uses leverage and a non-stop motor to threaten the edge). To me, its obvious he just had guys ahead of him playing effectively so he never saw the field for a SB contender. |

Getting beatin out by Dana makes me think he doesn't have much potential. Dana is a solid backup himself.

Really excited that FAU gets Cullen to shape him early in his career.
I really wonder how good some previous DL would’ve been with that same opportunity. |

FAU was clearly brought in for 2024 and beyond knowing Danna and others were leaving. |
The knock on FAU, as we all know, is that you expect more first year production from a first round pick. And I get that. But, in addition to the quality of players in front of him, we also need to take into account where he was taken. At the end of the first round. The blue chip pass rushers that you would have expected a lot of production from were already gone. I guess that we could have traded down and taken him later if he was still available. Maybe there wouldn't be the same criticism if he was a second round pick? I'm anxious to see how he does this year. If he doesn't improve, then I guess that the criticism was right. But I don't think that I'm prepared to make a judgement either way yet
|
I hope the kid puts on some muscle this offseason and works on that first step. We need to see what we got.
On a side note, I was thinking this year, if I had Tyreek, I'd put him in as an edge rusher on a special occasion. Nobody has a burst like Tyreek. He'd be good for 10 sacks easy. |
How do we feel about this dude being a starter next year?

Seriously, what LT or RT in the world could get to Tyreek to block him? |
They would just audible and run right at him

I could see a guy like Leo Chenel coming in at full back and just wrecking some shit

He's the best pure pass rusher from DE on the team. Unfortunately for him, his jump is among the worst in the league. Hopefully, it's correctable.

I was getting nervous. Hadn’t heard anything about him this far. First day of pads and we get a few good updates.
|
Man there are a lot of weird attitudes about this kid.
So many posters are nearly hoping for him to be a bust. Really strange. |

1. Age - he was just 21 2. Injury set him back before the season started 3. The people in front of him were were pretty damn talented. FAU is going to be a much different player this year. Should be a lot of fun to watch the growth. |
I thought he looked pretty good in that clip I saw in 1 on 1 drills against Wayna Morris. It could just mean Morris isn't looking good though.

Reminds me a lot of Dee Ford minus the whole back issue stuff. He just needs refinement and time. I could see him breaking out for 7-8 sacks this year but he could turn into a 10+ sack guy in 2025 IMO

You guys are over estimating this POS. Did you see his press conference. He looks like he quit lifting any type of weights and spent the offseason drinking Old Milwauke
|
Quote:
He literally spent the offseason working with Karlaftis and Tamba dipshit. |
I get what Hog is doing, but why FAU? There are a ton of other fan favorite players on the team who would have more impact if he impishly went after them.

Come up with all the excuses you want but a 1st round DE with 0.5 sacks is telling!

Hog farmer has lost his burst. Probably needs piggy porn to even get a hog off these days.

I don't think they were rooting against him as much as they were rooting for their own prediction that he would be a bust. Nobody cares enough about K-State for it to be a rivalry thing |
I give him a lot of crap but I sincerely hopes he becomes the next Derrick Thomas, he plays for the team I've loved since I was 5 years old and I want nothing but the best for the Chiefs.

Now, back to FAU breaking out in 2024 and being a stud. |
Y'know, when players go to the NFL, it means they don't play for that school anymore.

so you do understand the concept of I don’t give a shit what school he went to

I have a lukewarm friendship with the family of Josey Jewell. As in, I worked with them once, thought they were cool people, and we're friends on Facebook. They knew I was a Chiefs fan, so the next time I saw them after their son got drafted by the Donks, they grinned and were like, "So are you a Denver fan now?" I told them I hope their son stays healthy and gets traded/cut soon and finds a non-shithole franchise to play for, which I thought was very accommodating and understanding to the shame the family has to live with. They acted like I was taking the football thing too far.
Oh well. |

Looks like FAU off to a good start at camp.
Gonna hold back until I see the game for sure but I’m getting ere….excited about this |

Just develop and contribute. If Mike Danna can, through hard work and dedication, become a championship contributor, that’s the expectation.
