Please rabble i beg you to relax. Your blood pressure will rose if you don’t. I’m over the stats convo. You guys got better towards the end of the year because of “change” we got worse towards the end because of injuries. Who cares. All that means nothing in 2 weeks. Move on. On to the next subject. |

We are on an 8 game win streak. We have outscored teams during this winning streak 230 to 126. Over the last 8 games, we are averaging 28.75 ppg and only giving up 15.75 ppg. |

well...yeah. you know what he is? he's what we used to be. Before. Before Patrick happened. coming up with all these reasons why your team with your mediocre QB is going to beat the Best Quarterback in the Game. We didn't want to listen either. We always had our reasons why were going to win, and shock the world. And it never happened. Only way they win if we monkey-**** it all away. And they know it. |
Man. 49ers front better hold their water in this one. Mahomes drew them offsides 2 or 3 times in the first half alone last season, and they are players who are on the team now. That hard count is deadly...
EDIT: At lease one more in the 2nd half... |

Here’s the thing, nobody cares about those stats. It’s almost like you’re trying to convince yourself that you are this new and improved defense. Personally I don’t care. Football is played in the field. |

Now, our defense has come around. The recent stats back it up. Our eyes also back it up. It’s not surprising that a fan base that hasn’t seen a Super Bowl in 50 years would be excited to see their team come full circle and finally be able to have faith the FO and coaching staff. |

Recent tape is what they are doing now, hence what he’s trying to explain to you. Stats are stats, no ones denying that, but if you are also going to ignore the context that goes with the stats then it’s a lost cause for anyone to have a conversation with you. Bottom line, teams are going to look at other teams and say ok what are they known for and what are they doing well right now and trying to do right now, you get that off recent tape, not old tape where half the players weren’t playing. |

Guess what was terrible up through week 10? OUR RUN DEFENSE. Guess what has since become disciplined and a strength of the team? Our run defense? Guess what has elasticity and craves a man's entry? Your ****ing anus. |

And remarkable that you "don't care" yet you came over to our board to allegedly engage us on our football takes only to then ignore them when they don't fit your chosen narrative. Cool. |

After the embarrassing Titan loss when we handed them the win- this team has turned it around. It is pretty easy to see the arc of this team, from the low point against the Titans to where they are now. It is an undeniable pattern showing what this team is now. Let's not forget the field conditions the Chiefs had to play in during this winning streak, including a long trip to Mexico. This team is truly battle-tested. Anyone calling us a "finesse" team has not been paying attention. |
Seattle did a nice job defensively in both of their games against the 49ers. Limited them to 24 points in a Niners loss, and 26 points in a Niners win. They really contained the rushing attack in the first game especially and kept them under 100 yards. If Pete Carroll would let Russell Wilson throw the ball more, Seahawks might've taken that last game in Seattle.

Great post!!! 100% agree. Nice to meet you Smith |
Any 49ers fan that knows their team, knows that mobile QBs give them a lot of trouble. One of the main reasons is because their secondary is highly overrated and is very dependent on their pass rush. Scheme your blocking to get Mahomes into open space where he has the option to run or pass on every play and guys will be open all over the field. It's just a matter of execution at that point. Having a guy like Hill that can take the top off the defense will give them fits.
Also, I see Kelce being a weapon in this game too. The 49ers do not face up against elite TEs in their division. Or, they may over-scheme to account for Kelce and leave Hill & Watkins open. Anyway, the key is to get Mahomes in space. Get their down linemen to chase him all day long and wear them down. |

Those divisional games are tough. I for one was ecstatic that the packers beat the hawks. That would’ve been a tougher Matchup. Also, funny how everyone here says that if it wasn’t for that stop at the goal line the hawks would’ve been 2-0 vs us. No one mentions that WE would be 2-0 if our kicker (a rookie backup) makes it in OT. We would’ve been 2-0 vs them. |

That being said, I think the 49ers would have won the rubber match easily. Seattle and SF went in opposite directions in terms of player health since that last match up. Probably would have given a better fight than the Packers though. |
Hey Chief's fans,
49er fan here, looking to engage in some friendly banter. Congrats on making it to the Super Bowl, I think this is going to be a great match up. Obviously I think we will win and here are some takes on us and some questions from you: - Everyone thinks Jimmy is mediocre, and if you do, you are simply relying on big talking pundits based out to the east coast who don't have knowledge depth. He is poised, confident, and with Shanny calling the plays can do some serious damage with the schemes they have. But yes, I do give the QB edge to you. - We have had good experience playing similar qb's to Maholmes that will prepare us well for this game, Wilson (X2), Murray (X2), and Lamar, for a 3-2 record. I see Maholmes the most like Wilson, who has caused us fits regularly. - Our motion to zone blocking and how your D reacts will dictate how the first half goes. - Mad respect for coming back from 24 down to win by 20. I would not anticipate us to go up that much in the SB but if we get up by two scores in the third we have grown significantly in game clock management and that could make a big difference. |
Ok so I come in peace. Damn some of you. CHIEF fans are damn ruthless. Everyone has a right to an opinion. Why RIP people apart on a message board. Here are the facts:
1. Chiefs are the favorites to win 2. Accurate, fast and mobile QB's give the niners fits. 3. Speed does kill and the chiefs have it at a ton of positions 4. Niners have a great front 4 5. Niners have a good run game 6. Niners have decent receivers and a great TE. 7. To 4, 5 and 6 so does the Chiefs. 8. Chiefs have the better QB I expect and hope for a great game where the better team wins. Will it be the Chiefs? Excellent possibility..will it be my niners, ok to good possibility. I am not confident nor relaxed about this game, but am happy as hell we have a young team with a great future. This game will be a chess match, both teams are great. This is an awesome game as a fan. Why not all just chill and enjoy the ride? |
This is going to be a long two weeks. Jesus.

Did y’all see Honey Badger’s Twitter post? Sounds like he has a chip on the shoulder about the media not respecting the KC defense. I hope that drives them to bring their A game. They will need it against a very, very good Niners offense.

we're going to, hopefully, have a healthy chris jones heading into what Terez called a contract game. This MFer was tossing around grown men like small children all game on a bum calf. Cant wait to see how the niners hope to account for him

We can be got by quick RBs that can get to the edge because we lack speed in the LB corps. We solved the problem with the interior run defense by getting Pennel and through improved discipline from Jones, more experience from Saunders and continued development from Nnadi. I'm not even the slightest bit worried about our interior run defense. But the edges? Eh....different story there. Hopefully Suggs can show out and Clark will come ready to roll. It'll be interesting to see if we try to defend SF w/ 5 DBs. The extra speed out there might come in handy, especially with guys like Breeland, Fuller, Sorensen and Mathieu all being willing hitters. |
