Claiborne has missed the last four games. We have not missed him. Good grief, the things people suddenly are panicking about... |

JJ Watt's impact will be felt by the television viewers watching the game unmuted. The announcers will be fellating him to death for the entire game.

Watt is dangerous for sure, but he's only one guy. Double/chip him most of the time, and take our chances with the rest of that front. That's near dead last in QB pressures.
|
Watt has never really done much against our Tackles. I know he is hyped up because of his early return from injury but Im not worried about him at all.
Really, their defense isnt much of a concern. If our offense is clicking this game should be in our control the whole time. The only way Houston stays in it, is if we make mistakes, turnovers and penalties. Houston will score there is no doubt but our D should stop them more than not. I just dont see how they can keep up with the CHIEFS!! |

LOL at the Texan idiots saying our D only looks better because of our schedule. Dude we played a tougher schedule than them and actually beat the tougher teams on it that we had in common. They got absolutely smoked by the Ravens for example. Also the Broncos smoked them lol.
Chiefs are something in the top ten in point 7 I think allowed a game. Texans are 19th. And they played a lighter schedule. They are delusional. We only lost to them because we were missing 6-7 key players AND Mahomes was hobbled and reek was on a snap count. Spread has increased to chiefs by 10 for a reason. Can’t believe this thread has almost 1,000 posts.
THE TEXANS ****ING SUCK AND WE DONT SUCK. There. I just explained the matchup. You’re welcome. |
We stand no chance against the Texans. Watson is just as good as Mahomes but more clutch. JJ Watt is an unstoppable monster. We cannot cover Hopkins and Fuller. Our season will surely end Sunday and there is absolutely no chance that we win. The end.

Let’s talk about the Texans
Get Up! was debating which QB was better this morning. Watson was the winner.

Looks like the temperature is dropping going into the weekend.

Saw a scroll earlier that said KC has never lost 2 games in a season at Arrowhead against the same team

Anyone know what’s up with Kelce being limited at practice today due to a knee injury?

Mike Greenberg had the only real cringeworthy quote. "Patrick Mahomes believes he can win a game in the 4th quarter. Deshaun Watson KNOWS he can." **** off, Mike. |

Some models for this weekend are predicting as much as 16" of snow on Sunday. I have to think Houston would have a big disadvantage in a blizzard like that.

“I’ve never seen Mahomes beat Alabama in the championship” LMAO LMAO LMAO Did you see him throw 3 TDs and no picks against the best defense in football in an AFC championship game? Idiots. |
The snow is coming Saturday it would appear.

I agree that it would be great to have the snow storm happen on Sunday instead of Saturday. Make it just like last year's Divisional Round. A domed AFC South team coming to Arrowhead and expose QBs that could only throw in perfect conditions. That would be ideal.

5-8” on Saturday. Yeah Mahomes is a snow game guy. |
|
Beautiful.
Now let’s see a snowstorm hit Baltimore a week from Sunday. All will work out. |
Interesting they started on the sideline on one and in the middle on the other
|
Nate Taylor asking about new plays at 5:15. Ooooohhh Andy gonna open that Chapter of his playbook reserved for the Patriots this Sunday. Can’t wait.

The red endzones during the artificial turf era were sweet also.

I’d love to see a repeat of that Chiefs/Texans playoff game from 2016. Total domination and a shut out.

**** off wanting bad weather during the game instead of the day before. Sorry you armchair QBs want everything to be perfect but I’d rather not deal with idiots in traffic before and after the game like I did against Denver. 38 degrees will suffice, if we’re the better team we’ll win no matter the circumstances.

It will still be cold

Fuller is going to have some issues with that groin in the cold weather.

Just checked KC weather. 65 today, 45 tomorrow, 25 and snow Saturday. High of 37 Sunday.
I don't miss that. But as long as it's sunny it's bearable. So glad we play early and not at night. |

Mo Claiborne still not practicing. Disappointing for sure.
With Thornhill out we sure could use all our DBs out there. |
So, how did Arrowhead manage all the snow regarding parking for the Denver game? Did they like plow the parking lot while the game was on or was it just a big ****ing mess after the game leaving?

Let’s talk about the Texans
(4) Houston Texans at (2) Kansas City Chiefs
The Watson factor: Deshaun Watson rushed for two scores and passed for another to offset two interceptions when Houston overcame a 17-3 deficit to beat the Chiefs in Kansas City back in Week 6. “Houston has a shot because Deshaun is an equalizer and they can do some of that read-option stuff, which conflicts you,” a coach who faced the Chiefs this season said. “We studied a lot of their tape before we played Kansas City. Whether they can replicate that, I don’t know. The weather can be a factor for a dome team. That can be underplayed. When you watch Kansas City on defense, they are playing way different than they were in the beginning. A bunch of them get it now.” Dealing with Chiefs’ weapons: Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Sammy Watkins and Mecole Hardman give the Chiefs explosive weaponry that is even harder to defend with Patrick Mahomes at quarterback. That’s problematic for a Texans defense that ranked 28th in expected points added (EPA) this season, although J.J. Watt’s return gives defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel some needed firepower. “Houston will start off with a bunch of guys in the box, and then drop into quarters and try to hopefully get pressure with their guys up front,” an offensive coordinator said. “Houston’s linebackers are good. They can cover the underneath stuff. The wild card is Mahomes’ ability to scramble and throw it to guys on the move, and that is what hurts the quarters defense when they are playing that zone. That is the only way Houston can match up. If they try to play man, they do not have the corners.” On the Texans’ inconsistencies: Houston finished among the NFL’s top eight in offensive EPA this season. However, among those top eight offenses, the Texans own three of the seven worst single-game performances (at Baltimore, at Tampa Bay and home against Carolina). They also own the single best offensive EPA performance among those top-eight offensive teams, dominating to a shocking extent during a 53-32 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. “I think Kansas City will win, but that could be my upset game, because with Houston, you just do not know,” a personnel director said. “I just love the fact that when it gets crazy, Watson doesn’t necessarily throw the ball very well, but he can scramble and create and he is tough. Watson is better when it’s muddy, just like Ben Roethlisberger was. He is that type of quarterback.” Texans at Chiefs (-9.5) What a Chiefs win looks like: Using all the hype Jackson has received this season as fuel, Patrick Mahomes delivers a classic “Remember me?” game against the Texans defense, which gave up 425 yards and 24 first downs to the Bills and finished 26th in defensive efficiency during the regular season. Mahomes, who was sacked at the second-lowest rate of any quarterback, dances around the pocket and sprays lasers to Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill and the rest of the Chiefs’ pass-catchers. Frank Clark, Chris Jones and Terrell Suggs get after Deshaun Watson all afternoon, sacking him seven times. The Football Gods give us (not including Titans and Texans fans) what we want: Mahomes versus Jackson in the AFC title game. What a Texans win looks like: Watson picks up where he left off against the Bills, puts the Texans on his back and carries them to the AFC Championship game in the signature performance of his career. Will Fuller returns from a hamstring injury, and the Chiefs’ defense suffers from communication issues and coverage busts without safety Juan Thornhill, who torn an ACL in Week 17. J.J. Watt makes a handful of game-changing plays, and Andy Reid botches clock management down the stretch as the Chiefs try to make a late comeback. Every Monday morning sports-talk show leads with a debate about whether Watson is actually just as good as Mahomes, which inadvertently leads to Bears fans sobbing uncontrollably as they realize just how cruel the world can be. The pick: Chiefs (-9.5) When the two teams faced each other in Week 6, the Texans had six drives of 10-plus plays and piled up 35 first downs. Their best defense against Mahomes was to keep the ball out of his hands. Kansas City’s defense is better now than it was then, and the Chiefs are much healthier. I hate going against Watson, but unless Watt takes the game over or the Chiefs have a couple of flukey turnovers, I don’t see Houston being able to slow down Kansas City’s offense. |
Just bumped into a Texans fan at the airport. He said “you guys are going to kick our ass”
