Less than an hour before this post, you wanted to limit the conversation to recent history. Now you want to go back to the Gale Sayers era and beyond.

I'm pretty sure Okie Light lost to West Virginia. You can take away their win against Baylor if you want.

Mizzou has 2 wins against currently ranked teams. South Carolina has three.

Baylor has 1. Oklahoma State has two.

That's not really fair. Texas and Oklahoma are the only two Big 12 teams with a winning record against Mizzou.

Interestingly enough, only two teams in the SEC have winning records against Mizzou, and we have a chance to even the score with Georgia next year.

South Carolina plays Clemson. Florida plays Florida State. Georgia plays Georgia Tech.

After watching Big 12 perennial underachiever Baylor take down the SEC's prom queen on the hardcourt, the question must now be asked: Is the Baylor Ath Dept better overall than any single SEC program? The answer is obvious but if anyone has an SEC school who can compete with Baylor just toss out a name or two.

Eleazar 12-07-2013 12:07 PM

Of course, Baylor's finding success in the last 2 or 3 years is comparable to a century or so for those SEC schools.

Once again he is being selective with his comments.....The SEC Prom Queen, in reality the UK Women's BB team beat Baylor in OT at what was really a home game for Baylor although played at a "neutral" court.

Baylor beat the "Prom King" (not sure that is really anyone's assessment but his) of the SEC at what was pretty much a home game for them also.

I think it's too early to claim any overall College Athletic Department is better than the other. Of course what he is really trying to claim is that the Football and Basketball teams are better than any other college team in the SEC which once again is too early to claim.

It was not much of a home game for Baylor, there was a **** ton of empty seats there last night. I am starting to think there are too many neutral site events going on in college bball---I have noticed a lot of empty seats at events this year.

Is your team playing for the National Title? If not, I'm not sure it matters which bowl one plays in as long as the opponent is good (granted, the SEC has two teams as well, but I'm not sure anyone gave it a second thought).

Of course hypocritson fails to mention that since NIU failed to qualify, and the SEC is limited to only two teams in the BCS, that the BCS really did not have that many options.

OU is going to be destroyed by Bama.

Of course that is misleading, when you consider teams like Georgia, Ole Miss, etc. were ranked when Mizzou beat them...and Mizzou beating them resulted in them dropping. Your stat means nothing.

I was being nice. If we stretch it out to top-25 then MU is 0-8 losing to Vandy last year who ended 24th. 0-8 dude. There is hope however that ATM or Georgia will win their bowls and eke into the final top 20. Don't give up yet Tiger fan.
