As for the Chargers, where are we vastly superior to them, exactly? Herbert is fantastic, though he's not Mahomes he gets you most of the way there. Their run game and weapons are superior to ours. Their DL and secondary are superior.

We've got them at QB, we crush them at LB, and we've got a solid advantage at OL. This is a team that played us straight up last year and got better, albeit entirely on a short-term basis.

I think if you're going to build a team that has to beat the Chiefs, it looks an awful lot like this Chargers team.

Coaching must count for nothing with you then.

Brandon Staley, the ringleader of the Charger circus. The man who bans his kicker from playing in the game and contributing points.

The man who was in position as the LV Raiders were about to royally bitch up as they always do, and settle for a tie that would have sent both the Chargers and Raiders to the playoffs, takes a time out to stop that from happening, and allows the Raiders the time to find their little raisin balls, and go for the win to send the dumbest coach in the AFC West home with the loss.

The Chargers are all sizzle and no steak. With Staley coaching that team, they're going nowhere.

The OP literally has a tl;dr at the bottom. But thanks regardless for the sentiment.

My goodness, what a swing and a miss.

Disagreeing with me is fine but the OP is virtually entirely about the Chiefs. I breakdown the areas I am concerned about and my Chargers mentions are in passing.

I like his hyperaggressive style, to be honest.

I also have some comparably minor concerns: the rookie secondary, which I think will cost us games, and apparently all of these podcasts think we can replace Hill in the aggregate, whereas I'm not so sure.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk. Let's argue.

Direckshun vs Wallcrawler is CP’s version of John Wayne Gacy vs Jeffrey Dahmer in a steel cage match.

This was a weird one.... calling Chiefs podcasts "irresponsible" and they're high for predicting a 13-win season and SB appearance or victory, yet only backtracking to "they're good enough to be a 12-win team and make it to the AFCCG".

You guys are ****ing lunatics if you think Kelce is going to have a 1000 yard season! 990 yards is more realistic.

Pasta Little Brioni 11-26-2022 12:54 PM

Direction is the worst football poster on this board by a country mile. Absolutely pathetic

LMAO massive L

The other big problem I have is out of the Chiefs control: the schedule is just brutal. We face a Chargers team that may very well be better than us, plus Tom Brady in the first four weeks. We play both of the Super Bowl contenders. We play everybody who was in the conference championship games. I would personally argue that the 2022 AFC West is the best division we've ever seen, even better than the 2021 NFC West initially looked and mostly was).
OUCH LMAOLMAO

RealSNR 11-26-2022 12:57 PM

With these LBs, as long as we have Chris Jones, we were always going to be fine at DL. Chris Jones is able to go hunting and not worry as much about what he leaves behind because of Bolton and Gay. Huge upgrade from Hitchens and Niemann. ****ing enormous.

What was the DL in the Super Bowl year? CJ and a bunch of meh dudes. What was it this year? CJ and meh dudes. The difference now is that Saunders has made a big leap, Danna is pretty good depth, and Karlaftis is continuing to improve each week. And with the exception of Saunders, I think this kind of production was easy to predict back in the offseason.

Nothing special, but certainly not a unit that would prevent us from winning anything significant.
