Reid had to be at least okay with this move or he wouldn't have signed the extension. If it's about the cap, you bring in a better cap specialist. Stunning move. Can't believe it was about Maclin, either. If Reid really wanted to keep Maclin, I just don't think Dorsey would have cut him.

If Reid wanted GM duties to stay, then Hunt should have extended Dorsey and let Reid walk. Ugh! I hate this.

Exactly. It's likewith the Maclin release. Overreaction at first than comes to find out hey maybe we did the best thing. But releasing Dorsey they better have a better GM than him like Miles Holmgren or something

Dorsey's name has been mentioned as the successor to Ted Thompson in GB for over a year now. A GM with two years left on deal typically doesn't get mentioned in rumors like that unless there's some truth to them.

Building a roster > Cap management

It's not just the Maclin thing. It's what forced the Maclin cut. Dorsey wasn't good at managing the cap and if not for Dwayne bowe getting caught with weed, our cap situation would be even worse than it is.
