I've never called for a banning. I won't here either. But nobody is calling for Sandy Cheeks being banned, and he is a much bigger Alex homer. Take that however you'd like. Lets not act like it's just critics turning against fans.

Nobody turned against staylor. Or splatbass. Or anybody else. Why would they?

Tiger is a douchebag. He's always been a douchebag. He always will be a douchebag whether he liked Alex Smith or not.

One guy gets banned for excessive negativity towards a player, posting stats that very adequately prove most of his points. Another gets a pass for excessive positivity, posting stats that don't back it up. Both annoy other people and troll. So why is it that one is banned again?

I think that's kind of the point. I don't think either should be banned. Having and arguing different points of view is not the end of the world. There are far more people somewhere in the middle. There is definitely good and bad about Alex, but I'm not going to get into that here. I think its wrong to ban either person for having a viewpoint.

As for the excessive trolling, well, that's been a CP tradition for as long as I can remember. I read posts on here for damn near a decade before I joined. Nothing has changed, ever. Banning over it now seems a bit redundant.

It's not just Smith haters that think he is derailing the threads. But I also thought tatoo needed to be reined in a few weeks ago as well as a few other bashers repeating themselves. I'm also in the camp that clay is more harm than good.

I'm not a big ban guy though. I would prefer people ignore this guy because it makes it worse. Let him or whatever poster created him get his desperate attention somewhere else. He absolutely is worse than what neutral people are comparing him to but this could have been tucked away by people ignoring him and it became this. He is one of the most disruptive posters I've seen here but the board made it worse by taking his bait. And bait out absolutely is.

I don't think putting Clay on ignore would have worked. Too many people quoting him, you could never avoid seeing his posts. That is the problem with ignore, and it would be exacerbated x1000 with Clay.

Tiger is one of 3 I've ever put on ignore. What you just described is exactly what I feel right now. I can't get away from him because he is constantly quoted and posts three times in a row.

Swap Tiggerupperuncle for Clay and that's exactly how many feel.

One is banned the other going full Clay. Same as it ever was.
