Nourzad is your backup C.

Kingsley can, at minimum, be a swing guard along with Nourzad.

LT depth is the problem. You need a stable floor and a guy you can depend on to be there week after week.

Eye test says Wanya at LT is a player they were able to win in spite of. At RT, looked like a player they could win with, not in spite of.

So really, the most important thing at LT is finding that one solid floor dude who isn’t likely to miss games.

Yeah, so not DJ Humphries

Correct.

But… Cam Robinson.

Best feasible option now, yes.

Cam Robinson received a 70 PFF grade in pass blocking. Not terrible. It's adequate to give Mahomes enough time. In contrast, Wanya got a 55 PFF in pass blocking. Cam would be an upgrade - maybe not the greatest upgrade, but an upgrade nonetheless.

Cam Robinson left a bad taste in people’s mouth because he got whooped by Verse but then Mailata also did a week later so.

If he’s another Eric Fisher who doesn’t handle power well, then I guess that just is what it is.

I'm far more concerned with him getting absolutely shit on by the smouldering remains of the Detroit DL.

Could be wishful thinking but I recall thinking that night that Darnold went full pumpkin. Held the ball forever.

Yes, but Cam Robinson also looked like shit on the few reps I bothered to watch. Then turns around and does it again against the Eagles. That's why in an ideal world I'd just rather not but at this point it's him, wasting resources and reps on a completely useless brokedick once again and hoping THIS time it's different, or running it back again with Suamataia or Morris, which they've already shown they aren't willing to give them the support on the job needed for them to not tank the offense while they learn.

I know it’s a highlight tape of sorts, but this is easily the best hand usage we’d see from a Chiefs LT since Fish: https://youtu.be/tXHtL_1qdFs?si=HYDRBbDox2hD8zQ3

Feet are more than adequate too. It’s a fit no doubt. Also LOVING the spurts of shit talk he does in there after beating his opponent. That he was able to plug and play into the Vikings offense without their production dropping off for 10 games says a lot given he replaced a Pro Bowler.

Goodness those 35.5 inch arms pop. He gets paws on guys with ease.

Better than Donovan Smith. Scheme fit. He’s not gonna ruin games all of the time and need help from scheme/chipping at all times bc he can’t hold up.

He’s “fine”. Not great. Not bad. “Fine”. And that’s a hell of an upgrade from what we had last year.

A playable LT boosts this offense immensely. We saw that with Orlando and Donovan.

I watched this week 18 Lions/Vikings recap and found 1 “bad”play from Cam, the sack at 9:10, which could be attributed to the interior caving in and how Darnold reacted to it as much as anything. Had a hell of run block that sprung a huge explosive around 5:10. https://youtu.be/F4kJDW4aLLQ?si=WyucuaPCjckemXSt

This guy is such a Chief.

I got “Cam Robinson” tattooed on my lower back already

smithandrew051 03-01-2025 12:39 PM

Cam stamp

Cam Robinson gave up an 8.23% pressure percentage last year. For reference, Wanya gave up 7.71%.

The only LTs in the league to give up a higher percentage all had under 250 pass block snaps. Larry Borom, James Hudson III, and Joe Noteboom are the next 3, all at over 9%, all backups.

Vederian Lowe, who gets chastised by New England fans, was better at 6.57% and had over 500 PB snaps.

You guys want this turd to be our LT. Talk about diving head first into the shallow end of the pool.
