My bad folks. I though SAUTO referenced Jamie Collins, not Landon...

Jamie Collins? I’m not taking on $12.5 million in salary plus giving up assets to get him - **** that.

Darby is in the last year of his deal. And no ****ing way do you deal Kelce. That OL is top 5.

Protect your young QB

Money is obviously not an issue in free agency. It's just the players and/or direction Veach wants this defense (and offense) to go. Right now Over the Cap is showing us at 14 million with Ron Parker still on the roster. 19 million once they take him off of the books. There is an additional 40 million of cuts that can be made. Will they cut that much more? Doubtful. But bottom line is there is another 40 million setting there to be cut... depending on what Veach's vision for this team is going forward.

O.city 03-10-2018 11:21 AM

How they getting to 40 mil?

Bailey would be one other than that, not sure

RunKC 03-10-2018 11:21 AM

Chiefs needs a tall physical corner with ball skills that can win contested passes. If only someone like that was available?

Spoiler!

Houston 15 (post June 1 cut)
Hali 7.7
Ford 8.7
Bailey 6
Harris 2

That's the high side of 39.

O.city 03-10-2018 11:26 AM

There’s just no way they cut Houston man. That’s their 2 best defensive players gone

O.city 03-10-2018 11:28 AM

And they’ve already confirmed they are keeping Ford

I didn't say they are cutting Houston. It's a fact though that there is 39.4 that can be cut. It Veach's decision on where he wants this team to go.

It sure would be nice if he could show out this year. OLB isn’t near as big of a need if Ford and KPass can step up.

O.city 03-10-2018 11:32 AM

I mean sure they can do that, but they e also got to put a team in the field in 2018

Yeah, not happening... revamping and getting younger is one thing, but you cant just eviscerate your defense like that
