Everyday is exactly the same. I just don't have to go to work on the weekends. I need to get out and meet people. Just don't know where or how. I'm not an outgoing person (believe it or not).

Groups, gatherings, people...not always easy but always doable...then when its over you wonder what took you so long.

Springfield is actually quite a good place for things of this nature. Special interest groups.

You want to hear something dorky? Every month in a group of people who have blogs in Springfield meets. Tomorrow is another meeting...its kind of interesting...all these people...different walks of life just get together for a few brews talking about anything that comes up. I have been going for 2 years...the contacts I have made have been fantastic personally and professionally.

I'm fine once I relax. Springfield just seems so young. Everyone my age has already settled with someone or is active with friends they've had for forever.

Anyway, not going to go into any woe is me bullshit.

No doubt, I agree it is harder to meet people in Springfield. It seems like a lot of it is made up of young gets from outlining rural places who are not really all that outgoing or people that have their group of people have for years and are set and aren't changing.

I haven't had problems meeting people...im pretty outgoing and personable but its still agitating and a small reason im moving away.

Once again, talking about Springfield has killed a thread.

I could use a picture for my dining room. Around my bakers rack and curio cabinet containing my grandmother's bell collection.

I actually have an idea to do a picture of an apple. Except...I am going to get a green one and a read one and slice each of them in sections horizontally...then im going to mix up the pieces. So it looks like a regular apple sitting there but its in red\green\red\green sections. We'll see if I can pull it off.
