And we’ll be worse but that was pretty much going to happen regardless.

I'll be surprised if he doesn't get 4/$50, 3/$36, etc.

I’m not convinced that we will be worse.

We have no idea how our young talent will continue to develop or the impact our draft class will have.

If Veach knocks this draft out the park for the 2nd year in a row, we can absolutely get better.

I hope so but he has missed bigly throughout his career here at the D-end position. We shall see.

Well to be fair the core of these teams was really constructed by his predecessor, John Dorsey.

5 years ago bud. Dorsey is unemployed and Veach has given us teams every year that can win championships.

Get over it.

Unlike most 33 year olds at that position, dude can still wreck a game.

Now, if they're on the hook for anything substantial past the 2nd year - I'm with you.

Maybe our plan is to do what the Bills did last year and take DE in the 1st and 2nd round.

Been my preferred approach all along.

Gimme Devonte Wyatt in the first and a trade up in the 2nd for Sam Williams then grab whatever big/fast WR is left in the 3rd (Pierce or Tolbert if we’re lucky) and one of these fast linebackers like Leo Chenel in 4.

I can absolutely embrace that plan.

But remember - that’s not exactly in Veach’s hands. A lot can blow that whole plan apart.

Von Miller isn't seeing $120M

3 years and 52 million guaranteed. They will still be paying him at 36

Likely a rough look in year 4 when they move on from him and all the bonus years accelerate all at once.

He's about a 9-10 sack per year guy right now. I guess we'll see if he ends up being worth it or not.

Like DJ said....only one AFC team can make it. Each of these moves makes it harder on everyone else.

As always, we'll be curious to see how it's structured.

Yea, he can wreck a game.

But he really hasn’t wrecked many outside of last years playoffs while playing on a very stacked Rams defense playing next to Aaron Donald.

He’s still a good player, but he’s not dominant by any means.

How invisible was he his last few years in Denver when we played them?

Mahomes, Hill, Kelce, Jones

Dorsey.

This team doesn't sniff the playoffs without John.

Forever the greatest GM in Chiefs history.

Bingo - he wasn't doing much for the Broncos at the time he was traded.

Let's not turn this thread into that debate please
