It wasn't about commercial success, but hey, whatever gets his friends an iPod, right?

Unless I'm totally out of the music loop, which is very possible, I haven't seen where her music is that commercially successful.

Only in Kohl's commercials and movies. Not top 40 though.

She's been extremely successful selling her albums, and she has cracked the top 40 on a number of occasions. Most bands would kill to have her kind of financial success.

You guys just aren't aware of it firsthand because the democraphic is very young, teenage/preteen girls.

It's saying a hell of a lot. That means you've sound hundreds of thousands of records, and that beats the pants off 99.99% of the existing musical artists that exist on the planet.

That's pretty darn good.

OK, I may have downplayed it some. Just saying that cracking the top 40 and getting major airplay from the top 20 or 10 are completely different things. She is definitely successful though.

She's huge, though. She has a freaking empire that operates out of Disney and MTV.

It's just a completely different market that you guys aren't used to because you're not a 10 year old girl like myself.
