Yes, this is a tragic situation. However, soldiers in real battles in real wars don't get to stop and go home when a brother is down.

I feel like that's just leftover dumb media narrative from decades ago when it seemed like players were actually trying to kill each other, rivalries were especially hyped up as blood feuds, and you sometimes had to question whether some players really did respect players of opposing teams.

They've taken so much of that hostility out of sports that yeah, making those comparisons today is just silly.

If the Chiefs end up hosting the AFC Championship Game in KC, please promise to fly to Buffalo and watch it from that arctic shithole.

Of all the dipshit things that guy had said, he gets dragged for that?

He was finally right about something, FFS!

Definitely says something about what is valued on social media these days, but it also might say something about the state of reading comprehension in general.

{pats Womble on the back}

I'm proud of you, champ. You're doing great work here, Tiger.

We're all better people because of you. But definitely not as good AS you.

Raising ratings and it will work if Shannon ever comes back to work.

It's always hilarious when people get worked up about the use of a word that is actually used perfectly.

You mean referring to the massive implications of postponing the game on the NFL postseason schedule while also acknowledging its irrelevance in comparison to a man's life? There's not a chance Skip Bayless thought this would generate the reaction it did.

I actually think he said it well. I’m no skip fan, but the heat he is taking for this is misplaced.

It shouldn't have generated any reaction at all. It also wouldn't have if it was somebody else, I suspect.

At the heat of the moment, the last concern should be playoffs. Sometimes things can just wait a bit to be discussed.

Decorum isn't some new woke concept.
