You may take a look at a used R7 425. I remember it looking a little more traditional and not quite as big but still a great club. |
I think Cleveland makes a tour model that is 430 ccs or so and Titleist has a slightly more compact model but I haven't heard a positive thing about Titleist drivers in a while.

Tiger just withdrew from the Players. He was two over, hit a bad tee shot on 7, a bad second, then picked up his ball.
Interesting... |
Tiger's plummet from immortality has been hilarious, surreal, and bizarre all at once.

Hard to believe because this is the same guy who won a major tournament with one leg. I know he wasn't in contention but still. Then again neck injuries can be pretty rough.
|
Tiger needs to do a couple of things:
1) Get a divorce. He's obviously not the marrying type 2) Fire Hank Haney. I still cannot believe that he's kept him as coach this long. Haney is not a Tour-caliber swing coach. Tiger's swing is way too flat right now. |

1984 U.S. Open at Winged Foot. Craig Stadler is struggling mightily. He steps up to the tee on 16. Whiffs. He kicks the ball off the tee and withdraws with a neck strain. |
tiger is golf's version of shawn merriman...

He hit the ball farther when he was 19 and weighed 150 pounds than he did at 30 when he was built like a strong safety. FWIW, he originally hurt his knee during the 1997 PGA (long before he was bulked up), and almost every golfer on tour has one or multiple problems with their posterior chain. |
Adam Scott just came up 3 clubs short on 17.

Last time I played in a real tournement I withdrew. It was the City Championship and unlike alot of guys I just go with who they pair me with instead of having my own group. Well we had a few issues early in the round and by the 6th tee we were two holes behind. I spoke up and told these three guys that we needed to catch up. Every shot the rest of the day each one of these guys could not select a club before it was his turn to play. They didn't even make an effort to be ready when it was time for them to play. :shake: The day went on and I was struggling a little. We got into the back nine and I birdie two out four holes and I'm making my move. Nothing great but with two or three birdie holes left I had a chance to get in with a 73 and be in good position for the 2nd round if nobody tore it up. After the 2nd of the birdies I had just made I walk up on the next tee and I see the Marshall coming our way. I new why. We were still two holes behind. He put us on the clock. I had the honors and the hole is a short par three. #15 at Rivercutt in Springfield. It's not a full wedge so it requires some touch. Because we were on the clock I did not take enough time stairing down the shot. So moving with alacrity I made a quik decision to hit my 115 yard high 3/4 wedge shot. I executed! I watched in anticipation as my ball sailed over the green. The ball came down barley off the back of the green and bounced up hill like 20 yards.:spock: WTF? The ball crosses the cart path and comes to rest in 6 inch rough. At this point I was playing to just make my bogey and press on. So I have this down hill shot out of 6 inch rough to a small green that's running away from me toward the water hazard. It's an OMG shot to begin with but to make it worse the cart path has a curb and it's stairing me right in the face. I know I can't hit this shot the way I need to because of the curb. I know my ball is gonna hit it. :( The marshall was back on the tee box talking with that group. I wanted relief. So I start waving my arms to get the marshalls attention. He's not paying attention so I yell to my playing partners to get him but they don't understand. So we're on the clock and I'm not playing because I want a ruling. This is causing me a ton of stress at this point. Fn idiots. I finaly play out of frustration and my balls hits the curb:doh!: and bounces back, gets on the cart path and rolls farther from the hole behind the bunker. It's as bad as it was before if not worse. I make 9 before it's over. I'm so steamed........ We get on the next tee and this one dumfuk says "O.k. we gotta play ready golf now!" I've already got it on the peg and I play out of turn. It's a short par 4 and I drove it up by the green. I chip on and the others knock it on and then I turn around and see Mr. Ready Golf walking a big circle around the fairway looking for a yardage marker. He's not 40 yards from the hole! It was like a bad joke.:cuss: So we're finishing up #18 and Mr Ready Golf is up and he proceeds to walk around the hole like three times sizing up his putt. He stopped at one point to look in the cup...To check the grain? He's 40 fukn feet from the hole!:cuss: That's a big, time consuming circle he's walking so I think fukit and I putt up and have a tap in for a bogey left. I walk up lean over the ball like I'm gonna putt but I look up at these bozos and I look'em right in the eyes. Then I hit my ball off into the pond by the green. WD! I disapeared with the one guys score card and made him track me down to get it. I should have thrown it in the pond with my ball. Fukn d!ck!:grr::cuss::mad::grr::spock::cuss: PhilFree:arrow: |
