I’m just saying—this franchise has no business pinching pennies if Mahomes is all that they and we believe he is. NOW is the time to strike, to build up our roster to a level that will be difficult to ever match once Mahomes potentially gets paid.

I don’t see any defensive FAs who I feel comfortable paying any more than Watkins. And if Veach’s plan is to go young and fast on defense, I doubt he does either.
