Reerun_KC 01-04-2022 08:48 PM

Kansas is completely lost.

Reerun_KC 01-04-2022 08:49 PM

0-18 for Kansas in this stretch.

smithandrew051 01-04-2022 08:50 PM

Ten minutes without scoring. 0-20 to end the half.

I’ve never seen anything quite like that.

Lol and tied too

KC_Connection 01-04-2022 08:51 PM

0 for their last 20 shots. Yeah I’ve never seen that in my life at any level of basketball. What a bunch of losers.

Reerun_KC 01-04-2022 08:52 PM

That was an absolute clinic by OSU.

Kansas laughable missing 20 shots in a row.

It takes so much effort to suck that bad. Nice work Self. You’re team is doing great.

BWillie 01-04-2022 08:53 PM

Is that some sort of record? 20 misses in a row.

Why dont we just clear the floor, let Remy work. We did that sometimes with Frank Mason.

Need Remy the be aggressive and be allowed to do so.

smithandrew051 01-04-2022 08:53 PM

I miss Joe Dooley at times like this. It was always pretty satisfying to watch him rip into players for shit like this.

Reerun_KC 01-04-2022 08:53 PM

Gotta be up early. Turning this off. 29 points in a half. That’s JR high girls level of production.

And against a god awful dumpster fire OSU team.

Remy looks injured to me, which isn’t surprising considering he is injured.

smithandrew051 01-04-2022 09:09 PM

Yuck.

smithandrew051 01-04-2022 09:11 PM

Remember a few years ago when we had an elite defensive center who was practically a guaranteed bucket if he caught the ball 8’ and in?

Feels like an eternity since then.

Pablo 01-04-2022 09:11 PM

That wasn’t fun to watch

Titty Meat 01-04-2022 09:14 PM

Are these announcers calling the game from home?

PHOG 01-04-2022 09:17 PM

Blech

I think so because they seem to have no idea what is going on. Didn’t even mention the flop warning that Braun got.

smithandrew051 01-04-2022 09:34 PM

That offensive rebound and one is one of the best plays I’ve ever seen McCormack make

KC_Connection 01-04-2022 09:41 PM

Ochai Agbaji is soft.

KC_Connection 01-04-2022 09:48 PM

Remy ends this one. Still seems limited physically but doing enough out there to contribute.

If he had the Mamba Mentality, he would be the best player in college basketball. But, you either have that mentality or you don't.

Andrew Wiggins was the same way. If Wiggins had that mentality, it wouldn't have mattered if Joel played or not, we would not have lost so early in the tournament.

The worst game of pickup basketball played by the worst players in a rec gym couldn't go 0-20. How is that even possible? Has to be a record.

Yeah, it sucks.

I totally get it. 3 is worth more than 2. But for ****s sake, if you've got 4 inches and 40 pounds on a dude, it takes a TINY bit of understanding of leverage to make a move that will score at an incredibly high rate. But NOBODY does it except for Timme from Gonzaga.

Unfortunately, I think this is true to a certain extent. Earlier this season, I thought he had taken a step and overcome that. That game last night looked like the old Ochai, including the dumb inbounds pass.

Agbaji just doesn't draw fouls and yeah, he's just a really nice guy. We have alot of those guys on our team. Miss the junkyard dogs like Mason, the Morii, Taylor, Collins etc. Guys from difficult backgrounds that are gritty. I don't know much about McCormack's background but guys like Agbaji, Wilson, Braun, Harris, Lightfoot all come from pretty affluent families. Certain is an argument that they don't have that toughness factor.

BWillie 01-05-2022 12:03 PM

Jalen Wilson is shooting 8.7% from three.

This does not seem good.

I think (hope) his shooting will come around. But I thought he did much better defending and rebounding last night.

It's not necessarily about affluence.

I think Aldrich came from a pretty affluent family, and he had a healthy **** you streak. What he did to Handsjob in the FF game was just mean.

Russell Robinson was getting a bunch of heat, every day, from Darnell Jackson because Russ went a prep school.

One day at practice Russ punched Darnell in the face and earned his respect every day after.

Some guys simply have that fight and desire in them and some don't. It is what is with Ochai at this point unfortunately.

As I recall, Aldrich left early because his family needed the money pretty badly.

Aldrich had to leave for the NBA his Junior year because his dad was going to lose his farm. I don't know how well off he was before, but they were clearly having issues.

Wasn't his dad also ill? I seem to remember he was having health issues that lead to them losing their farm.

sedated 01-06-2022 02:50 PM

Saying there is a correlation between someone's economic status and their "mean streak" is ridiculous. Not basketball but Mahomes grew up with money and is a "competitive prick". Chalmers? Rush? Graham? (I don't know a ton about how any of them grew up but assume they weren't living out of their cars)

Demonpenz 01-06-2022 05:39 PM

Oche was a top soccer player so he is used to playing like the beautiful game

saphojunkie 01-06-2022 05:47 PM

I think a lot of guys are competitive because they have to be. Some guys are competitive because they want to be.

I'm more interested in the latter, because it is less likely to change with success. See: Bryant, Kobe.

Demonpenz 01-06-2022 06:24 PM

Kobe was soft when he needed to be strong he ded

smithandrew051 01-08-2022 03:02 PM

Bad start. Guessing no Remy today.

smithandrew051 01-08-2022 03:03 PM

Oklahoma State about to beat Texas too

smithandrew051 01-08-2022 03:10 PM

Jalen Wilson is basically playing 1 on 5 so far

HC_Chief 01-08-2022 03:11 PM

Sloppy and weak in the post. Not a good way to start

KC_Connection 01-08-2022 03:27 PM

Glad I won't have to watch this game much longer. Yikes. They look shell shocked.

smithandrew051 01-08-2022 03:30 PM

Is that 4 offensive fouls already? Need to adjust to that

KC_Connection 01-08-2022 03:56 PM

Braun being completely exposed in conference play was what was always feared.

smithandrew051 01-08-2022 04:00 PM

I haven’t been watching this much since the Chiefs game started, but ending halves on scoreless streaks won’t help us win many games

I see the refs weren't going to let KU win anyway. That jump ball call there on Braun LMAO

Braun’s poster dunk was a pretty obvious and-1 too

Looks like Ochai played a good game today. Encouraged a lot by Jalen Wilson's line though. His best game in like a year.

smithandrew051 01-08-2022 05:14 PM

We’re going to have to better at the end of the first half.

Two straight games with long scoreless streaks going into half.

Could’ve cost us against Oklahoma State. Absolutely lost this game.

RedRaider56 01-08-2022 05:16 PM

Good game KU! Tech played its best game on offense of the season so far and needed every bit of it.

Also true. Tough to win in that building.

Titty Meat 01-08-2022 06:32 PM

Good to see KU lose

smithandrew051 01-11-2022 07:00 PM

Weird starting lineup tonight:

Harris
Braun
Agbaji
Wilson
Adams

This team isn't anywhere near as good without Remy Martin. Problem is, we need him to get healthy for March. We may lose a bit as long as he's out.

KCC. When will you start scream for self to be fired?

Light foot came to play.

Al Czervik 01-11-2022 07:35 PM

This team is all around shit on Defense. Either to slow or unable to stay up with their man. Bad awareness. And no big man to defend the rim.

Getting boat raced by TT might not be thst big of a deal. They might take down Baylor.

smithandrew051 01-11-2022 08:24 PM

Reerun_KC 01-11-2022 09:11 PM

Pants 01-11-2022 09:13 PM

Going to be tough to win anything meaningful with non-existing rebounding.

Reerun_KC 01-11-2022 09:14 PM

Big 12 gonna be a grind. This league. Wow.

TT took down Baylor.
