Raiders have an up and comer TE Foster Moreau, Hunter Renfrow is nicknamed 3rd and Renfrow, and Clelin Ferrell has been OK but was drafted to high. All these players were drafted by Gruden. I count 5 players who were on the roster the day Gruden was hired. Raiders played many rookies this year without a training camp and they lack depth. They have issues but still went 8-8 while having a top 10 offense. Their defense was historically bad. Bottom line is Gruden hasn’t gotten it done and is looking average. Chad Forbes is a hater. |
Gruden is shit. That team is no better than before him. Andy turned us around in one ****ing year. Gruden has done nothing.

They need help on D, and ultimately they have to find an upgrade for Carr. At that point, we'll see if Gruden is good enough or not. |
Quote:
Ruggs is an A+ or A- how exactly? He did absolutely nothing. Jacobs was a solid pick, but he still hasn’t proven that he can handle a huge workload for a full season. |
Quote:
On offense, their biggest problem, IMO, is Carr. He can play well at times, like he did against us in week 5, but then he'll have an inexplicably bad game, like he did vs. NE. He has a habit of fumbling snaps, or fumbling through the EZ, or throwing terrible picks, etc. Some of that isn't really on Gruden. Carr, at the end of the day, has to take better care of the ball, and play better situationally. Sometimes he does, and other times he doesn't. That inconsistency probably cost LV at least 2-3 games this season. Add on the gaps in their defense, and their margin for winning gets pretty small. Give them a true franchise Qb and maybe Gus Bradley is actually a better DC, a couple upgrades on D, and who knows. |
What do you do when your defense is one of the worst in the NFL? You lock up your 4th string qb of course!

Ruggs didn't do much if anything at all. In his defense though he had no camp/pre season. It's hard enough to for WR to break out their rookie year. He has room to improve but is def not "A" anything. I thought Rookie WR Jefferson from the Vikings looked legit and he was the 4th or 5th WR taken. Jacobs problems is Gruden is going to run him into the ground with how many carries he gets. The Raiders are in a good position to improve and will have high expectations next year. |

Ferrell, Abrams and Jacobs all 3 drafted in the 1st round. Josh Jacobs was among the least efficient running backs of the 2020 season, finishing 43rd of 51 backs with 100+ carries in YPC (3.9). Josh Jacobs is overrated. The only reason he was top 10 in rushing yards is because he was 3rd in carries. Dude averaged 3.9 ypc 43rd in the league below guys like Kenyan drake, Myles Gaskin, James Conner, David Montgomery, Jerome Robinson & Melvin Gordon, just to name a few. Jonathan Abrams is atrocious, PFF has an overall grade of 35.9 on him. Oh and Ferrell was the 4th pick in the 1st round ROFL. Ruggs, Arnette and Bryan Edwards weren’t anything to brag about. They traded their 3rd round pick Lynn Bowden Jr before he played one snap. Gruden and Mayock have no clue what they’re doing. |

I think Herbert could potentially tighten up the chains in the division a little and that should help, but you could tell this team doesn’t play to the same level of urgency anymore in those divisional games with as big of a leash as they know they have. It will be interesting to see who the Raiders try to replace Gruden with next year. |
Jon Gruden: the gift that keeps on giving!
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Gruden, from 2019: "If we came up with the money to make the (Khalil Mack) contract happen, we wouldn’t have Trent Brown, we wouldn't have Antonio Brown, Lamarcus Joyner, and Vontaze Burfict, we wouldn’t have Tyrell Williams" ... <br>Raiders did also get two 1st rounders for a 2nd.</p>— Vic Tafur (@VicTafur) <a href="https://twitter.com/VicTafur/status/1369396194158510087?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 9, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
The Raiders have had a mid season collapse the past two years. Nothing to write home about and they def need to improve. Funny thing is most of the guys they handed out big contracts to didn't play much or at all and they still went 8-8. That is bad management and bad luck.
Trent Brown - couple of games Tyrell Williams - Out for the year Lamarcus Joyner - Played all year Incognito - few games Cutting these 4 players got the Raiders under the cap and have given the Raiders 30M+ in available cap space. Mariota will probably be cut next saving an additional 10M. Giving the Raiders roughly about 40M in cap space to play with. This year will be interesting for free agents as there is less money to go around due to the lower cap so the Raiders might be able to pick up some bargains. That is if they manage to sign better contributing players. |

The Raiders are easily the worst drafting team of the last few years, and I don’t think it’s even close.

At least they have that joyride around Arrowhead to look back on when they get their asses stomped twice this year. Not even the refs will be able to save them.

Levi Damien Thu, June 17, 2021, 4:40 PM When you have a former NFL Draft guru as your GM, it’s expected that you might see a few former highly thought of prospects given a chance to return to their former glory. Today the Raiders officially added linebacker Darron Lee, making him the latest example of that. Mike Mayock had Lee as his third best LB prospect in the 2016 draft. Lee would be drafted by the Jets with the 20th overall pick. His career did not turn out as expected and by the 2020 season, Lee was trying to find his way onto an NFL roster, spending the entire season on the Bills’ practice squad. Lee spent the first three seasons of his career in New York. His time there ended in 2018 when he was suspended four games for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. He was given a second chance in 2019 with the Chiefs, but started just two games and seeing most of his time on special teams. Along with Lee, the Raiders added veteran journeyman CB De’Vante Bausby. To make room on the roster they waived CB TJ Morrison. |

According to 610-Carr was crying that their were no fans last year and that is why they were 2-6 at home.
They kicked off their season with a Fan Fest spectacular, which amounted to an empty stadium. They have less fans than the Chargers. |
