Sometimes when Kershaw feels the heat, he just tries to fastball his way through jams. MOST of the time it works, it doesnt work against the Cardinals, hopefully he figures that shit out.

Also, Donnie Is the worst ****ing Manager in the Majors. He makes wtf moves. Hottest hitter in baseball he removes in the 7th inning of a play off game? He did this shit last year with Gonzalez too.

Yeah his problem was fastballs over the middle of the plate. Every player in MLB knows what to do with those type of mistake pitches.

Well to be fair he only had the bases loaded 1 time this year, so he just tried to power his way through it like last time. lol The batter before the 3 run double he absolutely turned him out on 2 sliders, but then refused to go back to it. I guess with all that adrenaline going it can make you do stupid things.

Im going to chalk this outting up for him as a brain fart, because he was dominating until he went fastball crazy. He might have been getting a bit tired? who knows.

Baby Lee 10-03-2014 08:27 PM

It is ****ING HILARIOUS watching the Deadspin Hipster Dandies get their ironic mustaches in a twist over the Cardinals. Coastals hate THE **** out of flyover country, and their hate is boiling over at this point.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-03-2014 08:40 PM

What the **** just happened? I was DVR'ing the game and just quit watching after the top of the fifth figuring the Cardinals were going to get steamrolled.

I started writing a post bashing Wainwright and logged on to ESPN to see how truly ****ing bad it was...and THAT happened?

Eat a ****ing pile of AIDS, Adrian Gonzalez. Karma just ****ed you up the ass with a 16 inch barbed wire oscillating nightstick.

What happened was Kershaw started throwing fastballs over the middle of the plate. And we didn't miss em.

My wife had to work tonight. I was with the girls, put them down about 8:00. After that, I was grading papers while the game was on, getting progressively more enraged.

Shit, the last time I did this was the Billy Wagner game in the '06 NLCS. I just didn't want to waste two more hours watching them flail at Kershaw's stuff while Adrian Gonzalez acted a ****ing ****.

I know.

I wonder if some of it has to do with the fact that he's ridden like a tramp mule all season.

I don't think so. He nibbles way too much in the playoffs and his pitch count gets out of control. He tries to strike out everyone and doesn't use his two seamer nearly enough.

There was no need to throw five-six straight breaking balls to Gordon.

Here's a question: who had the better arm, Stafford or Kershaw? I have to think that Stafford had the better arm.

O.city 10-03-2014 09:12 PM

Rosenthal was actually pretty nails tonight. Ellis with a little seeing eye single and a double on a great pitch.

And by the way,

Yeah, because the thing you want to do when up 1-0 against Clayton Kershaw is put the tying run on base when facing the middle of the order.

Shit like this makes me wish that there was a hell, just so the mother****er could burn in it.

I hope he is forced to watch everyone he's ever loved die on an infinite loop while being assraped by a Minuteman.

Unbelievable victory! I told you guys! this St. Louis team is like the others, they'll fight and fight until the finish - and quite simply that's what it takes. As generic as that may sound. So true.

they just keep surprising us. Play like shit and then the playoffs start and wham they kick it up a couple of notches.

Anyone that thinks the Cardinals are done in the playoffs and the 27th out hasn't been recorded, needs to put down the bong.

Got home from work pretty late and just finished watching on DVR. Thought it was over when they got to Wainwright early. Lighting up Kershaw was quite satisfying and great work by the offense. Great win.

Adams back in the 4 hole
Wong in for Kozma
Jay back in the 2 hole
Grichuk still in RF but hitting 8th

This game being on MLB Network is BS as I do not have that channel. I don't want to go to a bar, because I've spent most of my afternoon on the can. I ponied up 10 smackers for the MLB.TV post season package, but I'm worried that the game will be blacked out like the Nats/Giants game is. I'm gonna be pissed if it is.

I think this is a must win game for the Dodgers. No way they go back to Bush and win both games with Haren and another pitcher that hasn't pitched in a month.
