That explains why she lost all that weight.

Got my first quarter mile walk in today.....was nice to do something other than the limited things I had been given to do to this point.

Did see that this will need to be a slow and intelligent process getting back to normal health

It's definitely NOT a sprint.

So....for those of you in this thread who are also doing rehab/exercise plans...

Anyone care to share what your regimen is?

jdubya 03-17-2025 06:15 PM

No longer rehabbing but I typically try to walk 10,000 steps a day. Sometimes all at once or sometimes broken up into 2-3 walks in the same day.

I also do intermittent fasting which basically means I only eat from noon to 5.

Mostly protein based trying to eliminate fast food, carbs and sugars.

I read quite a bit from Dr Bergs website or videos

https://www.drberg.com

Whatever fits your lifestyle

My current rehab is for balance. Therapist (as opposed to the rapist) gives me a list of specific exercises to do, which I double. They are NOT cardio.

A virus or infection blew out one of my vestibulars, we are retraining the other one to handle the entire workload.

Once again, my cardio rehab was like a gym class for feeble old men. WAY easy.

I'm getting ready to start PT for inner ear problems related to repeated infections. A week ago I had vertigo so bad I couldn't open my eyes without getting sick.

In 3 visits, I have gained SO much of my balance back. I friggen LOVE my physical therapist! I just work up a slight moist sweat but dayum it's so effective! I hope you get the same results!

I wore hearing aids for work. Ear wax got in there like everyone’s ears but I have it worse due to the hearing aids. Then I have this flaky white stuff on my skin because my ancestry is Ireland/Scotland we get it after age 40. It acts like a paste that binds to my inner ear with the wax. Painful sometimes and always get vertigo.

I just want mine to achieve my goal of strengthening my heart muscle back to the levels my Dr has set

I believe I already mentioned it, but first thing in the morning I hit the treadmill for 30 minutes. Usually at 2.3 now, way down from the 3.7 I used to do.

From there on one day, I do upper body with 10 pound weights a series 3 sets of 20 reps for 6 different exercises. two different wrist curls, biceps, chest and triceps.

The next day lower body, with 6 different exercises, 3 sets of 20 reps each. Most with the rubber stretch things they gave me at physical therapy and my stair stepper and thigh master.

Nest day repeat the upper, then the next day lower. Just keep alternating. Usually an hour total then a high protein breakfast of turkey bacon and egg beaters.

My first appointment is on Thursday. I can't wait, I've had this since last Monday.

Yeah, I've had it for over a week.

Wish you all the best and relief soon. My wife used to get vertigo pretty bad. Is that what you would describe yours as?

edit, oops, noticed you said that in an earlier post.
