Sutton

This is good to hear. Chemistry is the most important thing and this season was the first time in a long time we had that. The players would be pissed if we fired Sutton. Throughout the season many different players expressed how much they liked the guy. We just need to learn from this game and move forward and I think they will.

When we went to Denver we got our ass kicked early and the game was to big for us. We didn't weather the storm.

When we went to Indy we learned from that mistake and hit on all cylinders from the get go.

All this team needs is experience and they have shown they can learn from it. This team will not lose like that in the playoffs again. I guarantee it.

No team will lose like that in the playoffs again.

That's a brave prediction...really putting yourself out there. Chiefs have an all_TIME meltdown, like one that will be played over and over and over and over, and you guarantee they wont do it again. Well no shit. This failure will be blasted all over the news, nfl networks, it will be in coaches heads for a very very long time. That's how bad of a failure it was, and that's why it wont happen again.

Told you so.

They aren't going to fire Sutton. It was never going to happen.

Anyong Bluth 01-06-2014 09:15 AM

That's it, I'm down with setting up a Kickstarter account to raise enough money to buy Sutton out and he can coach D for any local rec team he wants. He can even have Lewis for free as his safety to take with him!

Even if they fired Sutton (and they should) I'm not sure if I would feel any better.

I'm sick of our Chiefs always being the bridesmaids and never the bride. That game will go down in history as the Andrew Luck signature game, his coming out game.

Hell, even that fumble bounced back into his hands so he could stuff it up our ass and show the world he's as good as everyone hyped him up to be. That game won't go away with time, it will haunt us until we actually win a playoff game.

The Chiefs haven't even been a bridesmaid since the 60's.

Eleazar 01-06-2014 09:18 AM

They were never going to fire a coordinator in year one, especially after winning 11 games.

I would argue that he should get some improved personnel in the secondary before he's really judged. Sure, he made some weird decisions this year, but he had the front 7 playing well and was also trying to find ways to cover up for a secondary that might be among the worst talent-wise in the league.

They were bridesmaids in the 90's.

So we'll be known as junk until we finally accomplish something?

Sounds fair to me...
