Given their available resources that is a brilliant plan for the Skins, Hamas.

Good pick for the Browns, billay. It fills a major need.

Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma

McCoy to the Seahawks is ****ing theft. Theft.

The very second that I knew I would be GM for the Seahawks CJ Spiller was a no brainer choice at number 6. There was no doubt in my mind that Berry was going to the Chiefs and I wasn't drafting Okung at 6.

That said, once Hamas took the top rated player on my big board and then the Lions went with Okung, I knew that a decision was coming.

Do I address the most blatant need for Seattle by taking Spiller even though McCoy is arguably a top 3 player in this draft?

Brandon Mebane and Colin Cole combined for 1 1/2 sacks last year and Patrick Kearney on the end is getting old. The defensive line was a need for the Seahawks as well, and while I didn't plan on addressing it until later in the draft, it's safe to say that I'll find a better RB in the mid rounds than defensive lineman.

McCoy is a gift, and one the Hawks are absolutely thrilled with having him wrapped up and given to them. He will provide instant stability to Seattle's faltering interior defensive line.

Lions gave Seattle a ****ing steal.

Payback for them getting screwed in SB XL.

Oh, that's mu****in rep right there. You've been tapped with The Ron Jeremy Neutral Stick. I think you'll find it still packs a powerful punch. :D

I'll check back after dinner to see if SNR and Polo have picked. If they do, be prepared to make a pick, tonight, if you're so inclined, Direckshun, CC, etc...

Direckshun 03-09-2010 06:06 PM

I don't have any problem with being prepared.

I was delinquent with my 3rd rounder last year for the first time in my three/four year history of this thing. I felt like shit.

I'm on top of it at all times this year, like always.

If the draft were to play out like this, they would become the Kansas City Chiefs of the 90s and Minnesota Vikings of the 00s, with a phenomenal defensive line that will only translate into wins if the next veteran castoff they rely on at QB has a good season.

FYP

I knew you would be and I appreciate that. I don't mean to sound curt, my father-in-law, just passed away, a week a go and we may have to travel back to see the family, so I wanted try and not hold anybody up on my end.

Because they could never draft a QB other than this year. Ever.

I'm sorry to hear that bud.

DeezNutz 03-09-2010 06:33 PM

BigChiefFan, I'm sorry to hear of your loss.

Just got caught up on the happenings.

Great job by OTW to handle the hold-up at pick #4.

RealSNR 03-09-2010 07:16 PM

Okay. I would've drafted a QB for the Raiders because Jamarcus ****ing sucks. But Bradford was taken, so that's not an option at this pick.

Their offensive line is full of holes, but I don't think taking raw prospects here will do it for them. Taylor Mays looks really good here. But is that the pick that's going to make a difference for them?

The Raiders can almost make a luxury pick if the offensive line and QB positions aren't doing it for them right here at 8. So that's what I'm taking.

The Oakland Raiders select Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, South Florida

RealSNR 03-09-2010 07:17 PM

You guys have no idea how tempted I was to take Bulaga, continuing the Raiders traditions of drafting bust offensive linemen from Iowa in the first round :D

Probably exactly what they'll do.

Make sure you PM the next owner if you haven't already.
