Why can't there be some limitation on Prison's posting ability? Make it so he/she/it can only post in DC threads.

And conversely if we barely miss it but Shields wins 15 next year while Myers goes on to be mediocre at best, we still lost? |

Either way, we do of course welcome you back and hope you enjoy the ride with us. |
I've never wavered in my fandom, but I do admit that I was hoping we'd trade Santana. I'm glad I was wrong.

I just happened to get in a baseball discussion on another forum I visit (a drummer's forum), and here's a comment I got from a Rays fan back in mid-May.
"You can thank my favorite team for James Shields. This is going to sound off, and it has nothing to do with how he's pitching right now, but I really wish the Rays would have traded David Price instead of James Shields. I know they're completely different pitchers, but James is a great leader and really has a knack for creating a brotherhood amongst the pitching staff. He's also an innings eater. It's no wonder Tampa Bay's bullpen has been overused and under-performing. No one could have predicted David Price was going to slump so badly this year. Under contract through 2015 (arbitration eligible in '14 and '15), the Rays could have robbed someone's farm system. As for our end of the Shields/Davis/Johnson trade...it sounds like the Rays will have Will Myers finish his career in Durham. They're so slow to promote position players. All I hear is that "he's not ready"." |

Anyway, back to Royals! |

The last time the Royals won 17 out of 20 games, George Brett went 3-3 with 3 walks to raise his average to .406 and beat Texas, back in 1980.

Manny........**** it why not? He plays big in big situations. Maybe some of that magic can come back.

but....he can't do steroids anymore. Plus, the Rangers are contending and need a bat. If there was any chance he could still slug...he would be on their roster. |
Manny's washed up and reeruned. No thanks. We don't need a brain dead bum in the clubhouse clamoring for playing time when he sucks.

Royals should consider signing Mark Reynolds incase of Moose being hurt. Of he can get on a tear it would be worth it. Release EJ.

Hey, sorry, a Cardinals fan here. I just wanted to post a link to a newspaper article that a friend of mine wrote on the Royals (focusing on local fans). If you do happen to read it, let me know what you think.

Gotta finish this home stand strong. 7-3 would OK. 9-1 would have been awesome!

They'll probably wait until September call ups, and by that time it may be too late. This five game set coming up in Detroit could be make or break time. If we lose 4 of 5, we're cooked. If we win 4 of 5, we're still in it.

Here are the team schedules through Sunday.
Royals - 1 vs Miami, 5 at Detroit Indians - 1 vs Minnesota, 3 at Oakland Detroit - 1 at Chicago, 5 vs KC Oakland - 2 vs Houston, 3 vs Cleveland Tampa - 2 vs Seattle, 3 vs Toronto Baltimore - 1 at Arizona, 3 at Colorado This is were we we can make up some serious ground since we have more games than everyone else except Detroit. |

We all want to win today and sweep Detroit.
But realistically, I'm hoping for a win today and 3 out of 5 from the Tigers. That would be, in my opinion, a great week and put us in a great position for a run. |
Bob Dutton @Royals_Report 1m
#Royals acquire INF Emilio Bonifacio from Toronto for cash or PTBNL. INF Miguel Tejada to 60-day disabled list. |
So Tejada's now done. Bummer.

The Bonifacioacation of the Royals continues.
|
So when Bonifacio arrives, either Moose goes to the DL or Johnson gets DFA'd. Please please please God in heaven be the latter.
|
Bonifacio now a Royal... I'm alright with this.

I don't know, but at least the Twins are up early on Cleveland.

Man, it really seems with the injuries the wheels are about to fall off this thing.

Was anyone listening to Kietzmann a while ago when he was discussing Tejada? The teasers that were put out on Twitter make it look like he was using Adderall after his therapeutic use exemption expired.
He also insinuated that his injury may not be legit or is being intentionally overblown. |
NM I see it was covered in the game thread. Hearsay, as I expected.
|
Welp, Ned said Moose's best case scenario is to PH on Saturday. I would say that means we shouldn't expect to seem him. So with him out, Carrol playing third, and Cain out, we are looking at a best case scenario to steal two games in the series.

You can never have enough guys in your lineup that can't hit but can run. :shake:
I can't believe we ever got rid of Derick Robinson. |
I just cannot understand why the kids in Omaha continue to get shafted by the big club over some uninspiring broke dicks.....
|
We need a second baseman bad. I like Ryan Theriot who is currently a FA.
