Exactly.

Not really. He has an injury history. Watkins is actually a good comparison. Can be awesome when he plays, but... Ask yourself, have you wondered how he would have played the past couple of games had he been healthy? I have. Is Cincy a big game? Yes! Could Toney help? Most definitely! Is he gonna play? Who knows? Kinda just like the many game situations that we had with Sammy.

To be fair, the OP that Lzen was responding to said "waste of picks".

The answer to that, at least right now, is "not really".

They gave away practically nothing and he's making a tiny fraction of what Watkins did.

So if he turns out to give nothing more than Watkins did, it not only isn't a waste of picks, it's pretty good value considering what we gave up.

A comp 3rd round pick isn't nothing. You can get a very good player in the draft at that spot.

And if you get Sammy Watkins with a 3rd round pick, that's a win.

If he is Hammy Twatkins we got a steal. Dude blew up at the right time in the playoffs and helped big in the Superbowl.

I bet he ends up being a very good player for the Chiefs.

They don’t need him to make the playoffs, or even to get the 1 seed. So, if he can get a couple games in to gain timing that’s plenty. Let the hamstring fully heal and then put the foot on the gas in the postseason when we need him.

Hows he gaining timing if he can't practice?

Oh yeah, I was just talking about comparing Toney to Watkins is indeed an accurate comparison. I don't think it was a waste of trading the picks at all..I'd take that chance any day.

Me too.

I kinda wish we would have traded for Chase Claypool. I think he'd be an absolute beast here, but also I'm glad we traded for Toney. I think he can be really good if he somehow becomes less injury prone. It's a risk that was worth it.

Meh.

This is why i said we still need to draft a guy. His health is a question mark.

He can still be a great weapon though in a loaded WR room. So lets load this bitch up, eh?

Draft a second to fourth round guy that takes a year or two to learn the play book?

It's probably a good idea but I really hope they can resign JuJu.

That's where I'm at. It's certainly a risk but at the cost and given the potential upside, it's a worthwhile risk.

He hasn't done dick shit on a squad where he should be the go to target.
