I am really excited for tonight's card. Im looking forward to seeing Ryan Hall again. And Sean O'Malley is always a fun watch.

Im really hoping this rain gets out of here. I want to bust out my projector and hang the screen up outside tonight and watch Connor get knocked out again on a 10 ft screen.

I've mellowed a bit over the last year in terms of disliking Conor so much. I just want to see a good fight.

Hopefully Sugar Sean keeps it rolling tonight. It was nice to see him get back on track against Almeida.

I understand that but you have got to be able to adjust. That style won't work w every fighter.

That was the best fight of the night so far.

To be fair, that fight probably should've been stopped a long while before that.

JohnnyHammersticks 07-10-2021 08:52 PM

That was insane, Moutinho just kept coming! Terrible stoppage, but Suga Sean looked about as good as a fighter can look.

dmahurin 07-10-2021 08:53 PM

Suga Sean might be my favorite fighter right now. I've not seen a fight from him that wasn't extremely entertaining.

Isn't that hard when your opponent is a walking speed bag with no head movement and only throws a lunging right hand.

The end was decided no reason for dude to keep getting hammered.

Titty Meat 07-10-2021 09:18 PM

Disagree. Dude got pummeled for 3 rounds. No reason to stop it with so little time left. Let him have his small victory in that loss.

jjjayb 07-10-2021 10:28 PM

Ouch. That hurt.

Sassy Squatch 07-10-2021 10:29 PM

Crappy ending and the UFC continues to lose stars.

WhawhaWhat 07-10-2021 10:38 PM

Conor's leg did him a favor. Dustin was going to pound him into the mat in round 2.

JohnnyHammersticks 07-10-2021 10:39 PM

Such a letdown. That 1st round was one for the ages until that happened.

LOL mother**** McGregor, his garbage fans, and Dana White.

So glad that Dustin won, should’ve been stopped before that though…Herb Dean for ya.

McGregors decline has been horrible for the UFC...

KC_Connection 07-10-2021 10:51 PM

Why isn’t McGregor just doing WWE at this point? He’s washed.

Cause the UFC keeps paying him major mainevent cash because they lack stars.

WWE can't top that money.

Fair enough. How much do those celebrity boxer clowns make per fight? Maybe that’s an avenue he should explore.

Most UFC events are generic dude with bad tattoos vs another generic dude with bad tattoos, it's like attack of the clones.

No one is interesting, no one stands out, it doesn't matter how good they fight when entertainment is part of the product. And 99% of the guys are about as interesting as wet paint. It's why UFC has had declining popularity for awhile.

It's true that UFC is lacking in the star fighter department in recent years, but I'd still watch it over WWE. I'd rather watch women's wheelchair basketball over WWE though, so it's not saying much.

I don't really disagree with you, their severe lack of stars has prolonged his mainevent run/paydays.

It's also why Jon Jones can literally do anything and come back.

Fans like Mcgregor a lot better than that dude.

I'm not comparing that product, they lack stars and are generally boring themselves.

Mephistopheles Janx 07-10-2021 11:04 PM

**** Conor with a rusty 12 foot pole. What an absolute dickhead.

Connor - there was no checked kick

Joe - let's show 8 replays in slow motion of the checked kick that likely caused the break

The only thing that would have been better is if Dustin had told Conor to try swaggering out of the Octagon with his floppy leg.

What a horrible take.

It's not about entertainment in the UFC. It's about dominance.

Why are you comparing a real sport to WWE?

Connor's brashness only worked because he was backing it up by beating everyone. He built a huge a fanbase and is a huge star. GSP was just as big and carried that organization without any antics. He had the personality of a wet rag in WWE terms. He acted like a martial artist and never lost. The "never lost" part is what made him so huge.

There wasn't a WWE comment in there...they have a serious star problem and it's why they'll keep running Connor back out there.

McGregor vs Logan Paul coming soon

Titty Meat 07-10-2021 11:30 PM

The PPV buys are fine, they are killing it at the gate, have some international stars with the African champs, dont even have to travel the rest of the year for fight nights.

The UFC is doing fine regardless of what casuals like Mecca says. He hasnt even watched a fight since Lesnar I bet.

CoMoChief 07-11-2021 12:03 AM

McGregor hasn't done ****in shit since the Mayweather boxing match other than run his mouth and act like a damn clown.

Read somewhere that Conor will get between $20-30 million for that fight.

UFC popularity is not declining. What makes you think that?

Pablo 07-11-2021 09:44 AM

I haven't watched UFC in quite a while, but was at a friends last night and we bought the fight.

Monster energy hair guy Moutihno ate a million punches and kept pursuing like a goddamn T2. At some point you've gotta stop letting him hit you in the mouth. I've never seen a human do that lol

She was trying to get him to honor his commitment to donate to their charity. McGregor made a big deal about donating during the media run up to the 2nd fight. He thought he would win, and get Karma points for donating to the charity of the guy he beat.

Instead, he got KTFO, and reneged on the donation.

Well, lying to a children's charity, throwing a dolly into a bus, sucker punching an elderly man, and cheating on his wife, finally pulled Karma back around, and Karma snapped his bones because it's probably the least he deserves.

Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk

Titty Meat 07-11-2021 10:15 PM

Dont really think it was karma injuries from throwing kicks arent that uncommon. Dustin would have slept Conor eventually he was raining down elbows on him for a good minute or 2. Conor was gassed.

Why Not? 07-11-2021 10:28 PM

Considering CM’s take home from the fight last night, I’m not sure karma means what some people think it means.

Jerm 07-12-2021 06:51 AM

In the post fight PC, Dana said Dustin fights for the title next and when Conor is healed, they’ll have a rematch…

McGregor getting a possible title shot against a guy that’s beat his ass twice in a row and being 1-3 at 155 is peak Dana White and peak UFC….

McGregor needs to drop back down to fighting at 145. He has been ass at anything higher.
