Found out today that we actually have less points allowed than their “all time great” defense. Crazy stat to me.

49ers are the 3rd worse defense in the league with mobile QB’s giving up 5 YPC.

They are also 22nd in red zone defense

We played 5 of the top 10 passing defenses, per DVOA regular season numbers. However, two of those games were with Matt Moore at QB.

NEW ENGLAND: 23 points / 271 passing yards

BALTIMORE: 33 points / 363 passing yards

MINNESOTA (Matt Moore at QB):26 points / 230 passing yards

CHICAGO: 26 points / 244 passing yards

GREEN BAY (Matt Moore at QB): 24 points / 249 passing yards

wow! shocking...i had no idea. but, then you have to look at the teams you played. the WEAK AFC West with weak offenses. Denver, SD, Raiders, Bears, Detroit...etc.

While the 49ers played high potent offensive teams. Rams, Seahawks, Saints, Falcons, etc.
