A quick hug might be okay. Follow her lead on that. On the first meeting, there's nothing wrong with a nice FIRM hand shake. If you do shake her hand, grasp her whole hand, not just her fingers and put your left hand on top and remember make it a firm hand shake, not a limp noodle. Limp hand shakes show weakness.
