This is why going "all in" is always a bad idea. Random things like that happen and suddenly it all comes crashing down. I don’t think anybodys saying we need to go “all in.” Just that we can take a chance or two. there are way more uncertainties in the future. What if we’re saving up for a future that doesn’t include Andy Reid or features a massively regressed mahomes. I’m not saying that will happen, but it is way more uncertain tomorrow than it is today.
I trust Andy to not let someone new screw it up. We’ve seen with guys like shady McCoy and leveon that if they don’t work, we aren’t going to use them. It’s all upside. There is such a low bar a sub has to clear. So while we may be fine without changing, if a move allows you to upgrade from a bad piece to a halfway decent one, is a small extra hurdle down the road all that bad? It’d be one thing if we’re talking about subbing average for great. We’re talking about replacing bad with “not bad.”
