LOL at the ref taking the foul away there after he called it

smithandrew051 02-26-2022 09:10 PM

Harris was horrible tonight

threebag 02-26-2022 09:10 PM

Well shit, Baylor played some ball this second half

CasselGotPeedOn 02-26-2022 09:11 PM

Harris is atrocious.

Wilson too. Missed basically every shot he took.

Oh well, Baylor showed up in the 2nd half in a big way. Win the last 3 and it won’t matter.

smithandrew051 02-26-2022 09:12 PM

A fair portion of this loss is on Self. Playing around with the lineups killed all of our early momentum. Just go win the damn game. No point in doing that in this one.

A lineup of Harris, Yesufu, JCL, Wilson, and Clemence should never see the court in any meaningful game before it’s completely put away.

threebag 02-26-2022 09:12 PM

We used up all our offensive rebounds in the first half

Meh, they would have never held that lead for the entire time anyway. Not in that building with the calls they were getting.

I do think Self didn’t particularly care much about this one though based on that lineup.

KU shot 34 percent as a team in the end. Ochai was 8 for 22. They just generally weren’t good in the 2nd half and a lot of that was due to Baylor’s level of play.

It was never going to be a blowout, but you don’t need hand them an 8-0 run and let them back in the game.

And I agree that Self apparently wanted to use this as more of a learning experience than anything.

We’ll still easily win at least a share of the conference, so this one probably doesn’t mean much.

The Remy flop?

I would have taken him out and never put him back in if I was Self. I hate floppers.

With that said, if Remy and Juan switched minutes we may have had a better shot but woof Remy is bad defensively. Harris was garbage in this game though.

As far as I can tell, Remy’s only way to play defense is flopping. He’s been doing it all season and got refs to bite on it twice tonight (although on the second time they decided not to call a foul they already called).

Other than that, he plays no defense at all.

Weird day in college basketball. Everyone is vulnerable to some extent.

hes had some really good games this year. With Remy out, he’s done better than expectations. But, he looked out of his depth today. Looked like he did belong at Missouri state.

Holy crap.

At least Kansas' loss was to another top 10 team, unlike the others.

For the first time in college basketball history, seven top-10 teams lost on the same day.

On Saturday, No. 1 Gonzaga, No. 2 Arizona, No. 3 Auburn, No. 4 Purdue, No. 5 Kansas, No. 6 Kentucky and No. 9 Texas Tech all lost, surpassing the previous record of six top-10 teams in the Associated Press poll losing in one day. Saturday was also the first time the top six teams in the top-25 poll all lost on the same day, according to ESPN Stats & Information research.

The last time six top-10 squads fell in one day was on Feb. 4, 2017. It had happened five times overall.
