If Hunt brings Pioli back, thus demonstrating that he's a piece of shit owner who doesn't care about winning, I'm done.

All my energy goes to the Royals.

It's like if I divorce my wife, file the papers, talk mad shit about her to my friends...but then take her to Buffalo Wild Wings with me and the boys two days later. It just makes no sense.

And yet it happens ALL THE TIME.

Cue the Nazareth...ooohhh love hurts

The guy tried to can me 3 or 4 times over the last 5 years. Fortunately I'm pretty damn good at this, so our founding partner vetoed him each time.

We had a coup about 6 months ago and ousted the asshole from his director's position...but couldn't get the BDIC to fire him outright (they've developed that Clark/Pioli level of trust between them). So he was 're-assigned' to a nominal role an ostensibly stripped of all authority...for about 4 months. He's still here and he's slowly working his way back into an officer role. He'll continue to try to consolidate power within departments and increase his turf. He will always be slowly working his way back into authority - it's who he is.

I've moved up high enough in the world that he can't touch me now; as a Partner I'm technically his boss now. That said, that's the only reason I don't worry about him and the people in Arrowhead won't have that privilege.

Anyone that has ever worked for/with someone like Scott Pioli knows exactly how this will go with him.

He cannot be allowed to remain with the Chiefs in any capacity. His sole goal in life will be to subvert, undermine and attempt to work his way back into authority using every bit of personal pull he has with Clark. He'll lie, cajole and manipulate until he's close enough to where he was as to make no difference.

People that know men like this know better. I cannot root for this franchise with Scott Pioli involved in it. I just cannot.

Well said. :thumb:

That's exactly why I'll never give up and continue to support SOC until this scumbag is gone. I'll always be a fan of the Chiefs, but I can't be an active fan while Scott is in the building.

I know this is a stretch...but if he participated in the interview, it means that Clark wants/wanted his input.

LMAO Million dollar question right now, everyone is asking it.

If Reid signs on here and becomes coach, are you okay with Scott Pioli being retained?

Negative, Red Rider.

How much more evidence do we require that we're dealing with a madman and some sort of reverse savant?

There is one single scenario in which I would be okay with Scott Pioli being fired within the next 7-10 days. Here goes...

Picture it, April 25, 2013, primetime cable television. Roger Goodell approaches the podium to announce the opening of this years NFL draft. Cameras key on on Geno Smith, Star Lotulelei, Luke Joeckel, Tyler Wilson and a few of the other green room invites. Minutes tick by and finally the graphic shows up in the lower right corner...PICK IS IN!

Goodell, card in hand, reemerges from behind the velvet curtained stage at Radio City Music Hall. When he gets to the podium he doesn't announce the KC pick, rather that we're starting a new tradition and the Chiefs have a very special person to announce their pick. Out comes Vincent Kennedy McMahon. What? This is ridiculous and makes no sense! VKM states that before he kicks off the 2013 NFL draft he has a message to deliver from owner, Clark Hunt. Cut to an extreme close up of Vince as he says, "Scott Pioli...YOU'RE FIRED! Oh, and with the first pick in the 2013 NFL draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select Eugene Smith, Quarterback, University of West Virgina." He starts to strut off the stage, but quickly saunters back to the mic and says "Oh, and one more thing, there is no more yellow in the team colors!"

Yes, publicly fire Scott on national TV and it would be worth the wait.

Do you have your own opinion or do you just constantly ask questions?

RunKC 01-02-2013 06:52 PM

I think a lot of the discussion today was about the overall roster, plans for the future and how the power structure will work.

There are a lot of steps in the draft and coaching specifics. They probably went into extreme detail about this.

If its a chemistry thing, then if Reids hired it will be his decision on Pioli

Lookit, Pioli is porbably GM for the next 1-2 years and that's that. However, that does not mean there isn't a diminished role for him to play. We all want him fired because he has say and control over players and staff. If you remove that control and just have him running contracts between offices then he is no longer a cancer.

Pasta Little Brioni 01-02-2013 06:53 PM

O is doing his trolling routine. He's a solid spot troller. You don't expect it and then BOOM.

Well, some of us are a little more intelligent than that. :)

Not really. I think it's going to be Reid telling Pioli how it is and Pioli being Reid's bitch.
