Yes it disturbs everyone but with the knowledge there was likely a extension, things are very tricky for Hunt in trying to get rid of Pioli. We have to be patient and see if the new coach would even wants Pioli. If the new coach doesn't, then it is a easy decision for Clark and he does what he has to do.

It was brought up that there was a possibility that Reid himself had a little interview for Pioli today. It just isn't the Chiefs that have to see if Pioli is compatible for the future with the new set-up but if Pioli could handle what the new coach wants.

That's the great thing about being an NFL owner - you can do whatever the **** you want, and on your own schedule.

People need to show a little ****ing patience.

If we whiff on Reid, or it's immediately reported that Pioli is staying, then by all means, shit bricks.

But until then, some of you are acting like 13 year old girls.

And yet, when I say that people are being needlessly impatient, you mock me. Funny how the news of Reid's long interview changes things, eh?

Depending on any financial or legal implications I can understand where Clark may be coming from.

But there's also nothing I can do about it, short of ceasing to be a fan. I'm not quite ready to do that yet. I've been a Chiefs fan 3 times longer than I've been married.

Quitting the Chiefs doesn't cost you half, though.

It's oddly personal for me with this guy. My firm was run by a person that is so damn similar to him that it's not even funny. The power structure was the same, the attitude was the same, the manner of dealing with confrontation was the same.

The guy tried to can me 3 or 4 times over the last 5 years. Fortunately I'm pretty damn good at this, so our founding partner vetoed him each time.

We had a coup about 6 months ago and ousted the asshole from his director's position...but couldn't get the BDIC to fire him outright (they've developed that Clark/Pioli level of trust between them). So he was 're-assigned' to a nominal role an ostensibly stripped of all authority...for about 4 months. He's still here and he's slowly working his way back into an officer role. He'll continue to try to consolidate power within departments and increase his turf. He will always be slowly working his way back into authority - it's who he is.

I've moved up high enough in the world that he can't touch me now; as a Partner I'm technically his boss now. That said, that's the only reason I don't worry about him and the people in Arrowhead won't have that privilege.

Anyone that has ever worked for/with someone like Scott Pioli knows exactly how this will go with him.

He cannot be allowed to remain with the Chiefs in any capacity. His sole goal in life will be to subvert, undermine and attempt to work his way back into authority using every bit of personal pull he has with Clark. He'll lie, cajole and manipulate until he's close enough to where he was as to make no difference.

People that know men like this know better. I cannot root for this franchise with Scott Pioli involved in it. I just cannot.

Clark made them kiss, huh? Heavy petting?

Who said he's contemplating bringing him back?

Do you think Clark was really contemplating bringing Herm back in 2009?

Jesus Christ, even one of Pioli's favorite nut-huggers, Jason LaCanfora is saying that if Reid is hired, Pioli is OUT.

The new HC is either going to say he can work with Pioli (ridiculously ****ing unlikely) or he's going to say he can't work with Pioli.

At that point, Clark will either eat the buyout money and fire Scott immediately, or he'll strip him of all responsibility until an agreement is reached.

And if by some "getting struck by lightning twice AND winning the lottery on the same day" scenario plays out that the new HC is willing to work with Pioli, then make a decision.

After all, it's your choice to be a fan.

But I'm not making a choice until SOMETHING ACTUALLY HAPPENS.

I am on the fence to see what Clark is up too.

It's all bullshit. He brought Pioli so Reid could learn about the team the same way he kept Herman ****ing Edwards so Pioli could. Pioli isn't coming back.

It does me. I dont think he is going anywhere unless Ried straight up said he would take the job if clark canned him. Obviously that won't happen. No coach worth anything will want to have pioli around.

When was this?

EDIT: People yesterday were having a pretty good conversation, they certainly weren't "hand wringing" as you called it - IMO.

These folks today are going DefCon 5 because of reports Pioli is in the room - having no ****ing clue why he's there or if he's even involved.

But if I offended you, I apologize.

So the fact that it's being reported that the whole reason Scott was there today in the interiew was to gauge chemistry between him and the HC means that he doesn't want to bring him back?

For anyone to claim they know anything at this point is hot air.

You don't but I think you would agree that it is unlikely Reid would take the job without personnel control.

So then I take it your ok if Pioli stays as long as he doesn't have personnel control?
