Yep.

You'd think that the Chiefs under Reid would have learned their lesson about heavily investing in a free agent wide receiver but time will tell.

None of these free agent WR's are "clean". Watkins has been constantly injured and his numbers were pedestrian at best the last two seasons and Allen Robinson is coming off an ACL tear.

It's going to be interesting to see what Veach decides to do but I'd rather they invest in the draft and not in FA.

I think they want veteran WRs and offensive players around pat. I get it, I guess

I wouldn't exactly say "thinking" but best case scenario is that he'll be eligible for an extension after the 2018 season and if he balls out in 2019, he'll get likely get a sizable deal after the 2019 season.

It would be a good problem to have.

If he shows in 18 he can be a 3 down guy, I’d definitely approach him about it.

But as of right now, all those guys save for hill have questions

But is has to be in their long term planning.

Otherwise, you get a salary cap that's completely ****ed up.

Ring a bell?

I wouldn’t call Ragland overrated. He played well despite coming off the ACL injury. He got better as he played and KC brought him along slowly which is very wise. Ragland will be given all the chances to prove his ability to be a third down backer

I get that Dane knows a guy in Buffalo(LOL) but Im going to put my faith in whatever Reid/Veach decide to go with. If thats Watkins then Im all in!

Does that not scream “red flag” to you?

I’m sure the money played quite a role. It costs much more to tag a WR. It’s clear that they want Phillips to have a loaded secondary, much like he had in Denver.

I’m sure they’ve got it figured after the last debacle

You have zero information about Watkins, other than what you read on the internet, yet you know what's best for the Chiefs.

Right.

Talking out of my ass?

So did Veach not say that we’d be in the market for fast outside WRs? Have there not been rumors from the combine connecting Watkins to KC?

They trade a 2nd rd pick for him and now they are gonna risk letting him walk? They knew that this would happen.

Something isn’t right
