It’s amazing Worthy was as productive he was every year at Texas considering who was throwing him the football….his numbers last year would’ve been nuts if Ewers was better.

Just a testament of how truly good he is.

Now he has the greatest QB to ever walk the earth throwing him the football….

The reasonable thing to do is to plant porn on his computer to get him fired. Should’ve been a Chiefs fan.

Worthy looked like he died and went to football purgatory when he saw the team facilities. I couldn't unsee it. Lol

1. McKinnon almost surely won’t be back.

2. Are we sure that’s not just the round he was drafted in?

No reason why it wouldn't be 1. Currently available and was his preferred number in both High School and College.

Still not a fan of WRs jerseys with single digits on them. Always looks like they forgot to put the 8 on them. But whatever. But I know I’m going to think it’s McKinnon and not Worthy for at least half the season.

Just let delusional little Quesadildo enjoy his tiny 4 month window of the NFL year where he can talk himself into trying to believe that The Dove Valley Dump in its Pants isn’t one of the 3 worst QB rooms, coaching staffs, front offices, ownership groups, and overall rosters in the entire league. This is all he has left. It’s sad, if you really think about it.

Puffing his 30” chest out about drafting a 3rd round talent with the 12th overall pick. A guy who completely shat the bed in Senior Bowl practices and who was clearly worse than 5th rounder and Senior Bowl MVP Spencer Rattler.

The reality that Paxbo Nixenweiler is nothing more than the most recent in an endlessly long line of colossal busts the Donks wasted valuable resources on will be obvious to even Dildo Joe in less than 5 months.

I guess some teams too lazy to consider putting together a plan for that.

Franklin who knows. We’ll get the real info only after he comes off the board.

Worthy also flagged as the guy who practiced as hard as anyone on the team.

So much rather him than that beta Mitchell who has effort and character issues. It’s not as if his tape is so dominant that you’re willing to overlook everything else.

Pickens for instance looked much better than Mitchell and definitely more worth the risk. And I strongly think he - who did a 30 visit in KC - wasn’t even on their board.

Why? If he dropped to the 5th round I would certainly be inclined to think so.

But recent draft history has all kinds of guys that excel and dominate get passed over for lesser players in the first.

See Reagor going before Jefferson.

When Reagor went before Jefferson I didn't change my stance that Reagor was fool's gold and that Jefferson was much better.

You're spiking a football without even being near the end zone.

Not to mention that the very team that drafted AD Mitchell just drafted an Alpha in Pittman in the 2nd a few years ago.

Maybe Colts scouts (who have hit on recent high WRs such as Pittman and Downs, both guys I liked) know more than you, but you did not consider that.

LMAO

I think Hardman's injuries took a toll. You go watch his first couple of seasons as compared to his last couple, and there's a pretty noticeable difference in speed and route running.

That makes sense. Yeah I think we just had no guys who could beat man coverage last year. Which is mostly speed/agility

Kelce isn’t the best at his age (still a monster zone beater)

I didn’t spend time posting on an internet message board ranking the players? I guess you win. You’re cool.

The guy you told everyone was such an “alpha” forever turned out to be a beta. There’s no disputing that. He wasn’t a boss. People didn’t view him as you did. Ballad hard to defend him like he was fragile porcelain.

It’s okay to be wrong. You should be proud that you created a “board” and the guy you pined over as an “alpha” was a “beta.” That speaks volumes.

Many liked Ladd McConkey on here, including Twisted, and it was discussed in numerous threads. We liked Ladd because Worthy was a lot like Hollywood Brown. Then those WR contracts went down last week and if you want elite speed on your team in a receiver with capable tracking and route running, you will probably need to draft it, when you are paying a QB. So most of us our excited about Worthy. Most would have been fine with AD as well, but he fell. Not sure why, lots of rumors, but he fell. Doesn't mean he won't turn out to be the best receiver drafted, but nearly every GM in the league passed on him once after pick 19. What's sad is you will probably hope that AD is better than Worthy.

staylor26 04-28-2024 06:46 PM

I had it:

BTJ
Mitchell
Worthy
Franklin
McConkey
Pearsall
Coleman
Legette

Mitchell and Worthy were basically a tie for me, but with Hollywood, Mitchell brought the size element that we are lacking. I ltold my friend right before the pick "I want Mitchell because of his size, but the Chiefs probably don't mind having Worthy and Hollywood out there, so I'm good with either one".

After seeing Mitchell go later than expected, it's clear that there are some red flags there. In hindsight, I'm glad the Chiefs went with the cleaner prospect.

Yeah, this isn't far from where I was at. I definitely saw the intrigue of Mitchell and how he brought a completely different skillset of X receiver than we've really had before in the Mahomes era. But I personally loved the floor of McConkey and felt like we just needed some marginal improvement to be a very effective offense.

Although Worthy excels in the same space that Hollywood does, we only have Hollywood for another year, and having 2 of those players this season can put some real stress on defenses regardless.

Mitchell has issues. I think that's clear. If he were truly some "alpha" player/personality with a clean bill of everything, he doesn't fall. I think I'm just annoyed by MM's *constant* characterization of him as an "alpha" and that makes me dislike him more. It's so douchey. As if Xavier Worthy who outproduced Mitchell and worked his ass off is less an alpha because he's smaller. Nonsense.

I think a majority here felt the same way because of MM

Why didn't he transfer? Surely they are giving Arch Manning the reigns next year right?

Mvs lol. So bad at creating separation vs man coverage.

I wonder why Hardman couldn’t help maybe he lost a step.

Hardman ended up in the hospital with a weird condition that paralyzed his legs back in 2022. It’s not surprising if he lost some speed as a result of this unfortunate health problem. I’m sure he’s very grateful to be walking these days, and even managed to have a couple huge plays in the most recent Super Bowl victory. Good for him!

His abbs were torn off his pelvis I think. I know a PBR rider who had the same issue. Ouch!

Can Youtube PLEASE officially ban Luke Christopher's "Intro" from ALL highlight videos?! So redundant, it's absurd!

Rant over... Worthy was probably the most exciting possible pick for us and I'm excited to have him!

Ex-USC QB Marcus Grant from NFLN’s Fantasy Live picked Worthy as his top fantasy points-producing rookie WR this season today. Ahead of Nabers, MHJr, Odunze…everybody. Said he’s “much more than a speed guy” with good YAC like Rice.

That might all be true but if he's not an "alpha" what good is any of it?

We should start demanding WR's be graded on their alpha status. An alpha rating, if you will. It's pretty important.

In fact, we need to start measuring the % of "dawg" in these players. Another extremely important quality that must be calculated.
