‘Twas a wonderful and sorely needed win. We’ve been eating crap for awhile now.
Cook is a limited player but is nowhere near the largest liability. The biggest problem with the offense is the OLine and Drink/Moore. The backs aren’t very good either. Peat needs to play more. Hopefully they build on it. Memphis is capable of beating them they put a lot into that game and will need to bounce back. Line opened at 6.5. |

It will be interesting to see how this win ages. If K-State wins nine or ten games, it's his best win by a good margin. If K-State goes 7-5, it looks a lot more like the LSU win which appeared transformative, but ended up as just okay.

They do always suck in the swamp but they just really don't appear to be a dynamic team anymore.
Milton just can't execute that Offense as well. I think slots 2 through 6 in the East are wide open this year. |
What's wild is they are likely to be 5-0 ranked going into the LSU game and the reeruns in here are STILL bitching LMAO

Florida isn't as good either especially Graham Mertz at QB. Actually most of the SEC East looked average yesterday, even Georgia. |

KState is at least a top 3 B12 team this year. It's a respectable win.
Agree with you both.
Recent updates on Ryan Wingo seem to have him headed in the wrong direction.
Texas is tough to beat at any time for someone it really puts the press on, and I think Arch Manning is a factor there as well. Would be exciting to have Wingo and Burden on the field together next year, but it's not looking good at the moment. |
Missouri up to #27 in the rankings behind Clemson and Florida. They might break into the top 25 with Memphis and Vandy coming up on the schedule before LSU comes to Columbia in October.
Cute T-shirt you all made for beating kstate

Honestly though just having a little fun, had a rough day at work and I don't think I've ever came in here to talk shit so figured it was time
Maybe try not sucking at it
Are we gonna talk about how Cook may not play Saturday due to injury?

Welp guess we'll see what we've got in Horn.

Hopefully they run Horn out there to show what he's got, but I don't think they'll sit Cook, even if they should. |

That’s what you have to ask yourself . . . . . |
Norfleet hurt his ribs in practice?!? Anyway, here's something good to go with that bad.

Welp! Brady Cook just tossed that rock.

Well now, that's an ugly TO.
Mizzou is going to have to step it up or this might not even be close. Memphis is no joke.
Fumble on your own 5?
Mizzou makes too many mistakes. Undisciplined.
Alright, time to Cook.
Norwood playing a nice game
Are these SEC refs? Whoever it is is flagging Mizzou on every single play almost.
The videographer that Brian Kelly killed at Notre Dame would do a better job filming this broadcast.
That should be intentional grounding. Or a fumble.
Yeah, seriously, where are these refs from?

Fall on the ball, Walker
Words I never thought I'd type; Brady Cook is freaking dealing. Best I've ever seen him look by far.
5 rushing yards. I hope we can recruit some RBs.
Burned a little too much time there.
Entertaining game between two evenly-matched, pretty good teams.

But when the speed option got sniffed out they didn't seem to have much of a plan for 3rd down. I'm not sure how much success they'll have inside the red zone passing the ball. They may have to get pretty creative there. |
Cook took a big hit on that last drive. Hope he's not hurt. What a 1st half though!
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-theme="dark"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Brady Cook's first half:<br><br>11/12, 213 yards, 1 TD, 268.3 QB rating<br><br>The incompletion was a throwaway to stop the clock before the FG.</p>— Wendell Shepherd (@wendellsjr_) <a href="https://twitter.com/wendellsjr_/status/1705751663804322187?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 24, 2023</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
Aside from the near hospital pass to Burden on the last drive, that was about a perfect half from Cook. He looked like he was in a lot of pain after that run, though.
That better be a cramp
Uhh. Wut? Goes from cramp to into the locker room?
Cook is looking sharp.
Drink is a moron for starting him, right guys!
Hope that dome turf isn't why burden went to the locker room

What in the **** could they possibly be reviewing?
Whatever. Give Cook a breather and a bit of time to get that leg right
I thought they leveled that dome years ago.
Piss poor short yardage play. Just run it and move the chains.
Well, that just happened. Not running there seems pretty stupid but defense is playing pretty well.
Oooffff...we Andy Reid'd that 4th&1
I don't get the review call. He had the ball and first down at the knees down. So there was no fumble why move it back when it rolled out of bounds?
Memphis has 7 points off turnovers and 7 off a turnover on downs.
Momentum shift crap.
Quote:
But with this dipshit broadcast crew, you damn sure weren't going to get an explanation |
God I hate these running backs.
Memphis has a better RB situation than we do. And I know nothing about their RBs. |
Not converting that 4th down was killer.
Their 3rd Down defense has to be one of the worst in the country. Even when they get stops they don't get stops.
These penalties are killing this team.
Quote:
 |
Mizzou had two gifts and only scored 3. Unfortunate.
Id of felt better with a six but shit my pants can't throw the football with slight pressure in face.
Taylor is just manhandling and out-physicalling the Mizzou DBs.
This defense sucks.
