Well FWIW, the rumor mill is saying that the Browns were inquiring about Watson. It would seem they're not sold on Mayfield at all if that's true.

Even if the rumors aren't true, it sews doubt about the situation in Cleveland. Allen Robinson is at a point in his career where he can get a decent payday but also compete for that ultimate goal.

Right now, everybody is saying Cleveland is a long shot.

The only reason I think it's newsworthy is because it says the Browns know they have question marks at QB.

I want Allen Robinson badly at this point. He's my #1 target now that they've addressed safety. Of the teams rumored to be in on him, Detroit just signed Chark and now we have this stuff coming out of Cleveland.

If you get Shenault, the pressure on adding youth and upside to the WR room decreases significantly. So I’m fine with that. Take some long shots late for a year or 2. You’ve bought yourself time.

I mean it's almost certainly irrelevant, but Shenaults hands were fine in 2020.

He was just bad last year. No real way to sugarcoat it. He had a bad year. And so right now 1/2 his seasons in the NFL are bad.

But Urban had that team so twisted up that it's hard to put much fault on anyone for struggling there last year. And he's something of an introspective kid (the Athletic did a piece on him early last season) so it wouldn't surprise me if he got in his head a bit with everything that was going on out there.

I wouldn't write him off. The talent is immense and the skill-set is exactly what we should be looking for. He's cheap and he's young.
