Natch.

I don't think he's starting caliber at this point and once again, CB just isn't the damn problem right now. It's linebacker. I'd take him if they cut him but I'm not burning that kind of cap rollover on a guy that doesn't solve the major problems on this defense.

I think Jenkins could be an upgrade over Breeland simply because he takes the ball away. Dude has 4 INT’s already this year.

I’d still pass at that price though.

Mecca 10-28-2019 11:27 AM

The Texans did the same shit they were something like 13-13 when throwing on the LBs.

Basically every offense that plays the Chiefs is going to show you, lots of runs, isolation of the LB's in pass coverage, if the QB is mobile lots of movement as we suck with that too and some deep shots.

If you can do those things the Chiefs won't stop you.

San fran did it in the pre-season game and others have followed the blueprint. Now, what are you gonna do about it BRETT?

Yea, it works like a charm when our offense isn’t at full strength. When the offense is full strength again and we can make teams one dimensional, it will be much harder. That Packers offense is rolling and should be among the leagues best by the end of the year.

And let’s be real, considering Clark and Jones were out, and the defense was really only responsible for 24 pts, they did ok.

The Franchise 10-28-2019 11:34 AM

If Breeland is actually hurt.....I’d totally trade for Ogletree and Jenkins in a package deal.

Good teams are going to do it regardless. We play in an era where TEs are basically WRs and most RB's can run pass routes, having LB's that can't cover will get you taken advantage of, especially when we literally mix and match them for down and distance.

But if we get big early leads like we usually do when the offense is at full strength, you can use more DB’s in those situations.

The Packers played that game with a bunch of no name dudes off the street at WR, without Devante Adams they have shit there.

A legit #1 type corner changes how you can play defense. Bigger than just covering WRs.

Because you want to use them as a comparison point...if your goal is to be 500 go ahead.

VAGOMO 4 LIFE! 10-28-2019 11:58 AM

Ward is a legit #1 CB whether people want to admit it or not. He is number 1 in all of the CBs in the league in passer rating allowed since week 2

Until we get a coverage backer that won’t matter. The problem has been the middle of the field.

That has to be the priority.

Chris Mortensen just said eagles going to take a shot at Slay so you can cross him off list. Eagles will have a better first round pick then KC

Last night Mathieu was on WRs.

Adversity has made this team stronger.

Tyreek possible suspension, Chris Jones injury and Wylie injury has led to Hardman, Saunders and Rankin who look ****ing great.

I’m not scared of anybody if this team is full strength. Are you?

Texans without Watt?
Bills? LMAO
Ravens?

I wouldn’t mind getting the 3 seed and playing the Bills at home. Like they will beat us with Josh Allen?

I would love to play in Indy again. That would totally **** their HFA. The last thing you want to do when playing us is have our team healthy with the QB and weapons we have in a dome on turf.

We play Indy on the road, they are ****ed.

We're 5-3, gents.

Can we stop pretending like our draft picks are shittier than they are? I mean, drafting around 24 isn't out of the realm of possibility at all right now. That 'way better 49ers pick' is almost certainly going to be after ours now as well.

The trend towards rounding down has been annoying even when it was likely we were drafting in the 28 range. Now that our record is getting more and more middling, we need to stop this rounding nonsense. No, our 2nd is not the same as the Giants 3rd. It's MUCH more valuable than that.

According to Rappaport Trent Williams is now available.

I think there is a sad reality around here that no one seems willing to admit what we are.

Or, or.... maybe this place is full of overreacting tampons, as usual?

Had a real chance to win that game last night without 4 of the true 8 or 9 difference makers on this roster. Half the dudes that actually change games for us didn’t even play and they had a 7-1 team on the ropes.

The defense, while not good, is definitely getting better and the offense is one returning player away from being the best in football. That is reality.

It doesn't really matter. Teams are gonna think the Chiefs are going to the playoffs and will be in the AFC Championship game again because honestly the AFC is trash.

House has 8 games to get the linebacker coverage issue sorted out. He seems to have corrected the run defense issue from the linebackers. These are gualitt coaches that have shown the ability to make adjustments in the past. I hope we upgrade our LBers, but it’s possible they also get coached up.

They’re playing attacking run stopping style of defense. That’s gonna leave you susceptible vs the pass

Alternative is play the pass and get run on

It’s why elite lbers go so early in the draft.

I’m not too sure that ILB isn’t the most valuable position for a defense right now.

Teams with elite ILBs are usually always good on defense.

And they’ve got good players in front of them

Defense is about personnel and time together with the same system.
