LMAO Sounds like someone is losing their 1st round draft pick next year. |

Cassel was EXACTLY what we said he was. Coaching alone didn't get us to 6-8 wins, as almost everyone else suggested. Mike Vrabel was EXACTLY what we said he'd be. Zach Thomas and Amani Toomer provided nothing, as suggested. Just to name a few. If you really are foolish enough to pursue this further, I'll be home around 10. |

I mean...of course since we had such a terrible year you four are going to be right more often than not since everything that happens is a strike for Pioli... The fact none of you showed any patience whatsoever with the new regime is just laughable... You knew the results weren't going to happen right away, just like everyone...but instead you spun it so you could push your anti-Pioli agenda on every Chiefs related thread for the last 4 months... It made things so enjoyable. |

and you're all so quick to judge the draft class this year as an epic fail...yet all we've heard in previous years is how you have to wait 3 years before you know how a draft class grades out...
So pretty much you are blasting Pioli for bringing in low cost waiver wire fodder all year and missing on veterans like Zach Thomas and Amani Toomer who cause us no long term harm whatsoever...and are mad that they didn't find any impact players out of the scrap heap... We give all the credit to Herm for his players being our best players yet when they were here we said these very players were doomed because they didn't have the coaching staff to coach them up... But now we see guys like Charles and even Dorsey playing well and it's credit to Herm and no credit to the new coaching staff. I get it.. Pioli sucks/Haley sucks...DeCosta rules! |
You guys have way too much time on your hands to be re-hashing the same arguments that have been around for years all day. :p

Furthermore, I picked the Chiefs to be 2-14 in May of 2008. Regardless of your opinion, I know this team quite well. I predicted just about everything, from Ty Jackson's struggles to Clark influencing Haley to keep Gailey to Pioli using his scouting reports from New England to free agency spending and so on. I find it absolutely shocking that so many people continue to question whether I'm right on wrong on a daily basis when I've posted the same things continually in this forum and I'm consistently proven correct. |

I'd still love to see Mecca tell me Carson Palmer is an MVP candidate again but he's trying to avoid that topic like the plague.. All year long I had to hear how dumb I was for calling Palmer the most overrated QB in the NFL... All year long... Hamas refers to Romo as one of the worst QB's in the NFL... Pat yourself on the back all you want Dane...I'll pat myself on the back as well so we can have something in common. |

It's not like 20 other teams wouldn't want Palmer as their QB. Furthermore, I'm talking about FACTS, not speculation as to who will have the better season. |

Secondly, you're crazy if you think that Kansas City, Philly or Chicago wouldn't take Palmer in a heartbeat. Cutler sucks ass and McNabb is all but done in Philly. |

So people don't like Cassel because he's not the type of QB that could ever win a QB...
what does that make Carson Palmer? |

On November 9th 2008, Herm's job was NOT in jeopardy. And for the record, if Herm wasn't a good coach, why is college football's elite school considering him for their head coaching position. Keep spinning, Dumb****. |
Quote:
He had a carousel of WR's from the start of the off-season program until the final whistle blew on Week 17. The first 8 games we had no running game of which to speak. Or might it have been the ever-changing musical chairs style configurations of the offensive line? Or the undertalented collection of players on that side of the ball? Then there's an overburdened Head Coach acting as the offensive playcaller and QB coach. You'll excuse me if I'm not ready to write him off just yet... Quote:

Again, I'm not sure what "insight" you all brought to the table. Everything you just posted was suggested by several different posters around the Planet. |

Secondly, teams that just drafted a QB in the past two years don't need Carson Palmer. That included Detroit, the Jets, Atlanta and Baltimore. The Saints, Cardinals, Cowboys, Houston and Green Bay don't need him, but quite frankly, I'm sure Minnesota would love to have him, especially considering Favre is probably one and done. |
Quote:
You should just admit that you were wrong then as opposed to saying the same thing knowing full well you're wrong just so you don't lose a silly argument... |
Quote:
And Palmer was productive for a while, in fact he looked like a star. Unfortunately he's turned to shit, and has never really won anything. But he will still be considered a good QB by most because he had some good seasons with good WR's and has a great arm. |

Just thought I'd through this tidbit in..
Eric Havlorson (and Indy sports talking head) just Twittered: (AP) Former Browns coach Romeo Crennel talked to the Giants about their def. coordinator's job but is giving the KC 1st shot at hiring him. http://twitter.com/Eric_Halvorson/ Take it for what its worth. |

The thread was Mortenson stating that Herm was safe in November. I agreed. Are you stating that Herm wasn't safe in November 2008 and was fired that month? |

I find it very hard to believe that Herm isn't a good coach, considering he's been to the playoffs in four different years. Is he great? Nope. But he's a good coach. And it's clear that other people feel that he's good as well. |

I'm sure there were probably two-dozen posters who predicted the 4-12 record. I'm also not sure how special the prediction about a first-year Defensive Lineman was. |

I'm just giving you shit, Dane (although comparing Thigpen to Randall Cunningham is hilarious).
You deserve props...along with Hamas, etc....for calling most everything that happened this year. But everyone on here is wrong at some point. And sometimes hilariously so. |

Considering where the Bengals were at before Carson Palmer, I'd say he's a pretty good QB. All signs point to him going to shit, but you never know, guys have turned it around before.
I do think it's safe to say that he's not an HOF'er, and it would also be fair to say that it took both 85 and TJ for him to be a superstar. |
