And what about the other 31 teams?

Sure, others would’ve gone another direction regardless

But some are (likely falsely) claiming this guy would’ve been a top 10 pick? Why was there no super aggressive team making a move up?

Why did he fall to 32?

Plenty of teams could be very happy with a “top 5 value” in the mid teens.

Now use this logic to explain Trey Smith to KC in the 6th.

What about the other 31 teams 6 times?

Welcome to the team ol one knee

CP posters that are for it aren't exactly track record posters.

After the disaster of last season Veach just had to take a swing and he's knows it's a dice roll and it is what it is.

It's risk vs reward, the reward for a potential franchise LT outweighs the risk of wasting the last pick in the first round (wouldn't be the 1st time, amiright CEH and FAU)

This is a first round pick. Veach has to be right about this.

I’d rather gamble on an elite talent like Simmons than take a middling talent like FAU or CEH. Veach is a gambler.

@ me in 2 years.

Love it!

This dude is in total control pass protecting at LT.

Give him time to get healthy.

Better get him a steel kneecap.

The sheer confidence that people have about this injury is baffling. It's a rare injury without even much data to go off of.

Can’t wait to hear the press conferences.

Greg Oden never came back from microfracture but Kelce did and exceeded all expectations.

His surgery and Simmons' are independent events but I don't know you gamble perhaps worse odds at the on-paper more important position and in the round that gives you 5 years of cheap salary cap value.

Andy says it’s a three-man competition for the two tackle spots. :)

WTF? ROFL

The league just keeps gifting us exactly what we need year after year.

Clearly they didn’t consult the sports medicine experts on CP.

I'll be shocked if he isn't IR'd to start the season.

Younger people recover better. Give it a shot.

The board ****ing sucked. Like who did you want?

In no particular order, I would have been really happy with Emmanwori, Burden, Will Johnson, Mason Taylor, or Henderson.

And I would have been "Eh, okay, I trust Veach and this front office" with a good dozen or more other players.

And yes, if Simmons works out, I know people are going to bump this post and laugh when multiple players on that wishlist of mine are not very good. It's the NFL draft. This thing is a ****ing crap shoot. The idea behind it is you set yourself up for success by picking so if you hit, you hit HARD or you get a guy with the traits you look for so there are decent odds he'll play well for your team.
