Conversely, if we win then the Dolphins have very little shot at the 1 seed.

They’ve already lost to Buffalo and then to the Chiefs.

Assuming the Bills win this week, Miami would be in second place in their division.

Miami needs the 1 seed the most of any of the contenders. They end their season with 4 of 5 at home. They’ll be spoiled by Miami weather, then potentially travel to at least 1 winter city. That’s going to be a major shock to them.

The BYE is the most important thing of course.

Nobody is scared of going to Miami in January and playing a playoff game against an upstart team.
