Dane keeps asking that same question and has been answered many a time. I wouldn't waste time answering it. He can't comprehend different scenarios and without reason defends the current one.

Once you are done, realize that we spent the top pick in the draft to "counter" the second best guy on those lists.

Now, realize how bad our receivers are and think how much more explosive our offense could be if we had just kept Winston at RT, traded down a few spots and took Tavon Austin to play across from Bowe and in the slot with Avery out wide.

I dont know how anyone can think what we did is better, but time will tell.

Like I've said a few times already, I hope I'm wrong this time.

Who would we trade down with?
I would have been cool with Austin at 1.1.
Hell he did for Geno what Bowe did for JaMarcus.

I am guessing your mouth is only capable of spewing vitriolic diarrhea instead of answering the question. I'll give you three options it shouldn't be: Cassel, Quinn and Chocolate Peni.

The fact that he gets sacked that much could also give credence to the thinking that pass blockers may be a very important piece that Reid and Dorsey knew they would need....
Im just playing the new regimes advocate.
Im sick of seeing all these ****ing cry baby threads about about Geno.
Half the people here will be smiling if we lose and Geno wins.
Those people can suck my dick.

Smiling in disappointment...

Shit, you may think I am part of that group...but here I am after spending a bunch of cash and driving over 5 hours each way to see this team myself in camp.

I just want to FOR ONCE see this team stop with the excuses and draft their own quarterback and stop dumpster diving for other teams scraps.

I understand this may be too much to ask.

Again, our greatest rival, who stands between us and the division title, has the best pass rusher in the world.........and he eats RTs.
Thats what we countered.
If you cant see any value there...Im wasting my time.

Bridgewater or Murray, then...if Geno//// ends the season strong and we don't win a lot of games, then we would be in position to take Clowney or another QB.

Either would be superior to Alex Smith and there would still be the chance of one of those guys hitting their upside and winning a championship for us.

After the events of the 2012 season, in addition to the past six seasons of futility (if not 20+ years), why do you believes that Clark Hunt could trot out a team with a rookie QB with serious question marks or a piece of crap like Kolb?

The NFL doesn't exist in a vacuum. Unfortunately, there are responsibilities that go far beyond reaching for a QB.

How many people would show up in November if this team is once again, an incompetent, uncompetitive piece of crap?

Its not too much at all.
I just told my brother the EXACT same thing when he asked me why Chiefs wasnt every other word out of my mouth now that its August.
But that doesnt make Geno the answer or make the fisher pick a wasted one.

And other non - True Fans - are sick of hearing the HORSE SHIT that he was this clubs only salvation.

Every single personnel man in the NF****ING L decided he wasnt worth it, but woe unto KC who missed out on the god of the gridiron... he simply isnt that good, what is so hard to understand about that?

WE GOTTA HAVE A FIRST ROUND QB NO MATTER WHAT... i've lost track of how many times i've said that in the past, but to just reach out for a guy whom EVERY SINGLE other expert in the field passed on? **** that, is a future left tackle sexy, no... but he's just as good looking as some done nothing rookie QB who NOBODY wanted early.

Exactly everyone wanted a trade down. The raiders went from 3 to 12 for a 2nd round pick.

stevieray 08-03-2013 12:38 AM

wait a minute, the planet's new hero is outplaying the planets old hero?

...seems fitting... and pathetic.

I'd take Kolb and 2 second rounders for Alex Smith right now without blinking an eye and would try to get the deal finalized before they got a chance to think about it.

And his former coach didnt even consider him.
I would call that a tell tale sign.

Man. That might be a stretch. I've never seen Kolb do anything of note at any at time ever. Smitty at least strung together some nice wins.
