Smith is a pure pocket guy. He is athletic, but he doesn't seem to venture from the pocket very often. He has solid mechanics from said pocket and has a good quick release.
But, for my perspective, I've never seen a kid at that point have the pocket presence that he does. |

I watched orton read a d and look at progressions, he never killed a receiver |

I figure we will be in the mid to early teens, or even earlier. Most teams that are set at QB likely have a few other needs maybe to push them over the edge. |

If he's not better, he's pretty close.

Lucks got the pedigree. He was pretty much groomed for what was to come.
Geno has developed over his time in college. He does have some flaws, but for the most part they seem to be fixable. |

Geno's knocks will be from his o-system, and that he won't have two full years of being hyped as the best prospect. |

IMO that was a pretty significant red flag. |

Chiefs draft around 12-15. Smith goes 1 Barkley in top 5 Wilson in top 10 When asked why the Chiefs didn't attempt to go after a real QB, Pioli says, "You gotta remember that we still have a pretty good QB in Matt who made the Pro Bowl not too long ago and has led this team through some tough initial losses to begin the season." 2010 was probably the worst thing that could happen to this franchise (after the Cassel trade, of course) |
