Gottlieb did alright despite his normal underlying tone of dislike for KU.

Ehh. Thats just his speaking tone. He has a very smarmy voice so it comes across as pompous. I don't know how you can say he dislikes KU when he spent 5 minutes slurping the field house and the tradition.

I've never heard him be anything but complimentary of KU. :shrug:

He doesn't deserve to start? Look. We don't see the practices but there is obviously something going on with Releford having a complete game. Morningstar plays D effectively, shoots well enough, and has as much hustle as anyone on the court. The effort was clear on that play he chased the ball-carrier when they had the fast break and got a blocked shot a game or two ago. Give Self the benefit of the doubt.

Morningstar is VERY slow off the dribble and can't keep up with the quicker guards. He got owned in the Cuse game.

My guess is Releford made fun of Self's toupee.

No, no, no. I didn't mean last night. I actually thought he was very fair to KU last night. I mean in his past commentaries on ESPN or wherever. You could always feel a little of that hatred for KU in what he said. I don't think he ever got over that whole putting his shorts on backwards at Allen Fieldhouse.
